    The food was delicious and the staff was wonderful, the only thing I’d wish was different was portion size or having a prix fixed menu so you can try a bit of everything at a good pace and still feel full. We ordered pretty far apart which was our mistake but we hope to go back again soon!

    This was the perfect neighbourhood spot for a romantic date night with my hubby! We love the cozy feel of this gem of a restaurant and the delicious food - especially the nori canapes. Grace is always very welcoming, making each visit extra special. I would highly recommend this restaurant for anyone looking for great, creative Japanese food. We love to drop in often and are already planning to bring the whole family next time we are all together.

    Really great food and service is friendly but only complaint would be that they are definitely under staffed. Everything, even drinks take quite a while to get. We had 6 people and our dinner was 2 hours and 20 minutes...... If you don't have anywhere to be after this place is amazing cause the food and vibe is great. If you're tight on time maybe not your place......

    Superb, creative, contemporary Japanese food in a warm, relaxed, bistro setting. The canapes are unique and try the cauliflower! Sushi and sashimi items are prepared quite differently from standard Japanese restaurant fare. Overall, a memorable “food” experience. Highly recommended! Just a note: the service can be slower depending on how busy the bistro is - but this is readily apologised for and acknowledged by the staff without any prior complaint. So, get over it!

    Maru is my favourite restaurant in Toronto. Delicious and innovative Japanese food, served tapas style, with a changing menu. The canapés are incredible. And there are great options for vegetarians. Amazing service too!

    Always an amazing experience here. Every bite is so unique and well balanced. Staff are so welcoming and presentation is always impeccable.

    It was alright. Have had better food. Tried it because it was in the hood but not great to go back.
