New, to the historical Butcher's Hill community in Baltimore, MD comes Marta "fine food and spirits". A new restaurant and bar helmed by the husband and wife duo Matthew and Martha Oetting. Chef Matthew, has been developing Marta over the course of a prestigious career that spans over two decades. Martha Oetting is no stranger to hospitality herself, working in the beer, wine and spirit industry as a brand ambassador for over 15 years. Martha Oetting tackles the bar program, with plans to feature specialty cocktails including unique negroni, digestif, and appertif concoctions. Chef Matthew's dinning menu features stylish American cuisine with a thick Italian accent. Raw preparations in the crudo section are headlined by chef Matthew's signature tuna tartar cannoli. Other stand outs are found in the housemade pasta section, or the carefully curated entrees section. A comfortable and inviting bistro atmosphere welcomes guests to this remarkable Baltimore dinning destination.

Amazing food, packed for a Tuesday. Had reservations but sat in a small table at the bar. Go early or very late to be comfortable.

After countless fabulous dinners at Marta, my friends and I decided to try our luck at brunch! We arrived and, as always, were greeted and seated promptly. Our table near the bar was perfect! Our server/bartender had our mimosas flowing in no time! One friend ordered a Smokey the Pear cocktail and said it was PEAR-fectly AMAZING! We started with Cacio e Pepe meatballs and Arancini—just enough to get the brunch vibe rolling. The asparagus soup? GET IT. Don’t stop, don’t think about it—JUST do it! It’s soup-erb! 🥣 For mains, we indulged in: - **Spaghetti alla Chitarra Carbonara**: If you like crab, cheese, and homemade pasta, this is the catch of the day! - **“DA” Burger**: You won’t be saying “where’s the beef” with this one. It’s beef-licious! - **Eggs in Purgatory**: So divine, they made all my sins worth it! And the drinks! The Caprese Martini was MAGNIFICENT, and the Pistachio Martini for dessert? To die for! I need these cocktails all day, every day. They really raised the bar! Service was spot on, as always! Needless to say, Marta didn’t play with this brunch—they slayed!

Outstanding service and food preparation. In this difficult period for restaurants especially in the city one can only hope for their continued success. Good food is always worth paying more for. Keep up the great work.

Great food and service. The table we were sat at is in a corner and extremely small. We are not small people and spent the whole meal banging our legs together or sitting wonky to avoid having our legs together. Not a great spot to sit but the food and service made up for it. The server was very knowledgeable and made great suggestions. We loved everything he suggested. Definitely a loud spot but great energy.

Hostest seated us on a dirty, bussing needed table. Food is delicious but definitely could use more seasoning. High hopes low expectations. Highly recommend.
