Beautiful pub and really lovely ambient restaurant on the first floor. Real London vibes, and great food priced well for a busy expensive area of London

We chose this pub based on reviews, and I'm glad we went. The service was wonderful, the drinks and food were delicious and the portions were perfect.

Bit disappointing that we chose from the Festive Menu and when we went to order (turkey) were told that the turkey and beef had not been delivered that day and were off the menu. Having said that the food we did choose was very nice. Service was friendly enough, if a little bit slow. Overall was good value and nice food and atmosphere, just disappointing not to have the full menu to choose from.

Booked this on the strength of the ratings as I’m not familiar with the area. We arrived early and the bar downstairs was buzzing , upstairs was quieter which meant we could talk . All the food was fabulous, my pie was amazing - fantastic crust and tender meat in a lovely filling , my friends sea bass looked lovely . All served with lashing of fresh veg plus tasty puds to finish . I was very pleased with everything - great place , good food and good value

Absolutely great find in Victoria area. Food and service superb. Best white wine sauce with mussels I've ever tasted. The food was definitely above parr. Will definitely return on our next trip to the city.

We went for Sunday lunch, looking for a good roast in a friendly atmosphere with good service and that’s exactly what we got! It also had an excellent list of wines by the glass.

We went for Sunday lunch, both ordered the pork and the amount of meat was miserly. Two thin strips consisting of probably 1/3 un-rendered and inedible fat and not a scrap of crackling. The Yorkshire pudding was also dry and over-cooked. We complained and no effort was made to rectify anything. The vegetables were nicely cooked and there was plenty of gravy, such a shame profit margins are prioritised over a quality experience for the customer. Prior to this experience we had been several times before and always been pleased but it seems the standards have slipped considerably since. Based upon our previous experience we were considering booking to have Christmas dinner with friends and family but will now go elsewhere and certainly won’t be back. I would also strongly advise anyone who does go here to check their bill carefully, we asked for and received non-alcoholic Virgin Marys, however they were put through on the bill as proper Bloody Marys - at four times the price of what we actually consumed. Mistake or pure greed? Who knows?
