Welcome to Market Place Kitchen & Bar! We are a new Modern American Restaurant in the heart of Woodbury, CT, we are run by Executive Chef Matt DeLongis. We celebrate and encourage local, organic and sustainably harvested food and spirits. The interior of our space is compiled of sustainable and local materials, utilizing beautiful 300 year old barn wood from the Gurski Farm in Brookfield, CT. For three years in a row we were named Best Farm To Table Restaurant by the readers of the Waterbury Observer! We look forward to you trying our inventive, seasonally inspired cuisine and cocktails. Great food and atmosphere. Specials are always amazing here and the drinks are always delicious. It was a nice touch that they handed out roses to the ladies for Valentine’s Day.

Have not been here in awhile. Food was excellent. It was the busiest I have ever seen it and yet the service and our server Ted did an awesome job. Just know when it's busy it is very loud but not unexpected when they are packed. Will certainly be back.

I had mentioned occasion is birthday celebration but there was nothing special for birthday kids. May be my expectation was wrong, not sure. Generally all the restaurants celebrate birthdays with a cake and candle.

What a letdown it was. We chose to celebrate New Year's Eve at the restaurant and decided to indulge in the evening's special: scallops. To our dismay, when the dish arrived, the scallops were nearly raw, lacking even the slightest hint of a sear. The first bite was a cold reminder of what could have been a delightful experience. As we sat there, disappointment settled in. The server was overwhelmed by the bustling crowd. We paid for our meal and the server ignored our uneaten meals. I felt too sympathetic towards her hectic night to voice my concerns. Ultimately, we left the restaurant feeling unsatisfied and opted for takeout to salvage the evening.
