Welcome to Market Place Kitchen & Bar! We are a new Modern American Restaurant in the heart of Woodbury, CT, we are run by Executive Chef Matt DeLongis. We celebrate and encourage local, organic and sustainably harvested food and spirits. The interior of our space is compiled of sustainable and local materials, utilizing beautiful 300 year old barn wood from the Gurski Farm in Brookfield, CT. For three years in a row we were named Best Farm To Table Restaurant by the readers of the Waterbury Observer! We look forward to you trying our inventive, seasonally inspired cuisine and cocktails. Pleasant , not so warmy . We were seated inside in the middle of the room, but we asked to be move away from the traffic in a booth. We were surprised there was no bread on the table. Seating are too closed to comfort. Muzak was a bit loud. We took our niece out for her birthday, we stated that on the reservation, they didn’t acknowledge it. They only checked on us once. Food was ok!

We were disappointed that it was overly warm (a/c was not utilized effectively), the service was very slow, the restrooms had not been cleaned & no TP available, and the food was not as good as it used to be.

For some reason, we went to Market Place 3 times for lunch in less than 2 weeks and every time was very, very good. We have been ordering off of the specials just because the food on there was right up our alley. I latest visit, I had the Cobb salad with grilled chicken and my hubby had the brunch burger. Tasted good,, salad was fresh and chicken was nice, warm and not dried out. Our server was very nice but we are used to that there. Never had a bad experience with service or food. Give it a try if you are a local or driving through.

we had a party of 4 and were seated (with reservation) promptly. We were not rushed and had time to have a drink and conversation and then an appetizer. Dinners were served sporadically - 1 came out, then 2 minutes later another arrived at the table, 2 minutes later the 3rd dinner arrived. It was another 3-4 minutes before the 4th dinner arrived.
