Welcome to Market Place Kitchen & Bar! We are a new Modern American Restaurant in the heart of Avon, CT. We celebrate and encourage local, organic and sustainably harvested food and spirits. The interior of our space is compiled of sustainable and local materials, utilizing beautiful 300 year old barn wood from the Gurski Farm in Brookfield, CT.

We look forward to you trying our inventive, seasonally inspired cuisine and cocktails. Eat sustainably, live well, and enjoy your experience at Marketplace!

The staff here are consistently very friendly and on top of things. Our farm salads were very good, as was the harvest bowl. The poke bowl was not good/ but we believe it was just poor quality tuna, not the preparation itself.

We had the sweet and spicy marketplace bowl, steak and whipped potatoes and bolognese pasta. It was delicious definitely will order again.

Service was quite slow and even as the first seating multiple desserts were out of stock. One order fully brought incorrectly.

The SHORT RIB FOCACCIA is my go-to and never disappoints! Generous serving and yummy sweet potato fries make it a delicious meal and a great lunchtime meeting spot.

Food was terrific for everyone at our table. Salad was huge and tasty. Burger was cooked exactly as asked. Crispy chicken bowl had fantastic flavors and was plentiful. Apps of hummus, crispy sushi and truffle fries was a big hit. Fries cooked perfect.

I love Market place - the food is always good, you sell 5 oz beers, and the chocolate cake!! The staff ate always very pleasant, and efficient! The only drawback is parking.

Not as good as previous visits or other Marketplace/Mercado locations. The Farm to Table appetizer was disappointing. Sprouts were too big. Charred well but inside was hard. Wasn’t really burrata. It was torn up fresh mozzarella. I expected it be be more like the appetizer at Marketplace or Mercado Woodbury locations. The coating on the calamari was undercooked and falling off. The hummus plate looked like it was put together by a 10 year old. Nashville hot chicken sandwich was fine but side Cesar salad was warm and lettuce a bit wilty. The steak sandwich was underwhelming. Not much flavor. The strip steak looked good and was properly cooked. Cheesecake special was very good, as was the chocolate cake. The carrot cake would have been good except that they were very heavy handed with the cloves which ruined the dessert. Service was generally good but a bit spotty. By the end of the night, we felt like we were being rushed out.
