The food was amazing, we sat at the bar and our bartender was amazing! Great drinks to start, then she let us sample two bubbles to see what bottle we wanted. When the food took longer than expected management handled it perfectly by addressing us and taking the delayed dish off of our bill. The short rib large plate is a must. Oh and the chocolate tres leche cake, wow!

The atmosphere is somewhat reminiscent of the Art Deco era; but also of the 70s Mod era with their white fur chairs (which I'd love to own). I and a friend went for their Saturday morning jazz brunch. I had a non alcoholic "rum" drink that I would definitely order again as it was citrusy with a faint taste of "rum". Of course we saw another table order the Dulce de Leche Martini which looked so good that we each ordered one of those also. It had a strong expresso flavor which I loved but was covered in the Dulce de Leche that looked like mocha whipped cream. You could mix in as much or as little as you like to sweeten it to your liking. Our server was very knowledgeable and pleasantly attentive. The food was beautifully plated and skillfully prepared. We started with their crab and shrimp cakes which were filled with large chunks of shrimp and crab in a very thin layer of breading over a wonderful aioli. The flavors while subtle were very complex and definitely scrumptious. Next I had the prawns and polenta. Not only was the polenta creamy and well seasoned, the prawns were juicy and cooked perfectly. There were pickled jalapeños and thin slivers of red onion along with some micro greens sprinkled throughout such that every spoonful had different notes of umami, sour, and sweet as well as different textures. Only thing I would say is that the polenta was a little looser than I'd prefer but the flavors more than made up for that. Overall it was a wonderful experience and I plan to go back next week to try their lunch and ultimately dinner. With such a gifted chef, I'm excited to try other items on the menu.

I typically do not write negative reviews. However, I personally was disappointed in the food and service from one waitress in particular. I ordered the shrimp and crab cakes which consisted of mostly breading with small pieces of shrimp. The grapefruit on top of the cakes was not a good pairing for me. I also ordered the potatoes with taziki sauce and they were just ok. Nothing special. The guest at my table raved about the short rib that was a very large portion. The hostess was super nice, along with most of the staff aside from one female waitress who appeared annoyed the entire night. I had outdoor seating and the views and overall ambiance were great.

If your diet requires you to eat plain food, no sodium or condiments, this is your place. The cocktail I ordered was not what I expected, didn’t like it. Service was okay it took a really long time to bring our drinks.

Was seated right next to the noisy kitchen. Was brought a white when when ordering a red. Two menu items were off the menu, where one of which was one of the only ones I was able to get due to dietary restrictions. Server was alright, we only finished the drinks and then left. Couldn’t carry a conversation with guest as the noise volume was above average.

I will definitely be back when I’m back in Charlotte! Amazing food, service and location. Make a reservation for the patio in the evening, it’s so worth it :)
