Mariposa, located at the Mint Museum brings world-to-table dining right to the heart of Uptown Charlotte. Our emphasis is on the communal experience that dining out with friends, old and new, should be. There is such a wonderful ambience that is elegant yet casual, formal yet relaxed, high end yet affordable! Loved the jazz brunch, I will return. Delicious too!

This is the second time I have dined at Mariposa in the last month. I thought the food was fair and the service was just ok. last time, the server didn't even know their own menu. Made us over order with her suggestion, way too much food, and then they didn't even deliver what we really wanted. But for ease of location, decided to try it again. And the food was cold, no flavor...even more disappointing and again the with the difficulty in getting servers, it is very apparent at Mariposa. So, last time to dine there. There are some good items on the menu, but you need to be selective and know, service is just ok, but it is convenient.

Great experience, their food is great but the chicken was undercooked for the first time. They did more than enough to compensate and food was overall delicious. Get a variety of small things and 1 main if 2+ people. The chicken is overrated but everything else was solid

Fantastic everything!! We stopped by to celebrate our engagement and the service was amazing. Our sever was extremely knowledgeable and paid great attention to detail. The food matched the high quality service and ambiance.

Wine selection was interesting. Food was great! Service with a friendly smile. They also paid close attention for one of our guests that had a shell fish allergy.

It’s difficult to find the entrance. You need to go to the second floor of the mint museum building. The entrance to Restaurant is right in-front of the mint museum. Food was excellent. Great ambiance. We had to wait long before the server came to take our order due to some misunderstanding internally with the Manager. But the Manager came personally to us to apologize and the situation was compensated by giving us a few small shareable plates on the house. Over all very good experience. Recommendations - Pulled duck arepas, Lomo Saltado.

The food was mediocre at best and none of it was hot by the time it came to our table. I’d be here before and it was great so I had high expectations but the menu was different and the food wasn’t good…. The “crispy” cod was like a bad frozen fish filet…it was not crisp at all. Our server was polite but very slow. I will not be returning.

Overall we had a good experience at Mariposa. We had the maze platter, lamb kafta, and shrimp and crabcakes along with a couple of glasses of wine. Food was very good. Service was a bit spotty but acceptable. We would return if back in the area.
