We take pride in sourcing our ingredients from local and sustainable purveyors, ensuring that our dishes are not only delicious but also environmentally responsible. Our menu includes a variety of traditional favorites, such as MOFONGOS, a dish made from mashed plantains that are fried and served with a choice of savory meats or plant-based options. Another must-try dish is our Arroz con Gandules, a rice side that is cooked with pigeon peas and sofrito, which is a flavorful blend of herbs, spices, and vegetables.

For those who love plantains, we offer Tostones, which are crispy fried plantain slices that are served with a house made aioli. And for dessert, we highly recommend our cheesecake rolls served with guava or strawberry sauce, a sweet treat that is sure to satisfy your cravings.

Marina's Bistro and Rum Bar was an okay and fair experience. The ambiance and the service were outstanding. Being from Puerto Rico (recently moved to Chicago), it gave me the sense that I was in a cozy restaurant in the metropolitan area of the island, which was nice. When it came to the drinks, it was one of the best things about this restaurant. The Tres Casas, Calle Loiza, The Old San Juan, and La Playita were really great drinks. The starters (croquetas, Queso frito, and Pastelillos) were okay. What really let me down was the main dish. I was disappointed with the Mofongo with Lechon asado. The yuca mofongo was really good, but the lechon asado tasted plain with barely any seasoning. It was unfortunate that one of the delicacies of puertorican cuisine, such as lechon, was a big letdown. Overall, it's a good and okay restaurant to inmerse yourself as a first-timer trying puertorican cuisine. I would return for their amazing drinks. Other than that, I would think carefully when choosing the right main dish.

This hidden gem is awesome. Anna and owner Eric went out of their way to make sure we wanted for nothing. Food was delicious and generous. Drinks were amazing.

Overall a wonderful experience! The restaurant is beautifully designed with the best quality menu. The food was incredible and reminded me of my mother's dishes. The attention to detail and great customer care and service were amazing. I will definitely be back!

An amazing experience in a beautiful space! The dishes and drinks were thoughtfully crafted and flavorful. It was an incredibly enjoyable lunch. We can’t wait to go back!

Authentic Puerto Rican food! Great spot to hang on a Friday night w live music. They have REAL run Don q and Barrilito. Felt like home. My kid said: this is my favorite pollito ever!

We had a great time at Marina's. Eric and Katie treated us well the entire evening. We started off with some cocktails (El Viejo San Juan, Marina's Punch and Calle Loiza), all of which were excellent. We had the Ensalada de Aguacate to start (and we saved some to have with dinner) and then we asked Eric for his suggestions for mains. Eric suggested the Mofongo (with plantains) with Pollo Al Ajillo and he told us we would love the Bistec Encebollado with majado. He nailed it on both. My wife and I split both dishes and we thought they were both delicious and comforting. Finally for dessert Eric recommended the bread pudding with homemade coconut ice cream (made without an ice cream machine). This also hit the spot as the bread pudding was warm and the ice cream was very cream and melted slightly as we at the dessert. We will definitely be back in the future!
