Hawaii branch of Michelin Tokyo selected restaurant Margotto e Baciare, Winner of the Best Restaurant in Hawaii by USA Today, the first and only Krug ambassador, truffle centric French/Italian/Japanese fusion fine dining.
Chef Kenta Kayama has been trained under the best chefs in Japan, Mr.Kanda who keeps 3 stars Michelin for the whole time Michelin has been published in Japan.
We opened our door in Tokyo in 2014 and became known as the best place for truffle and old world wine. We serve fresh seasonal truffles from all over the world throughout the year, Italian Alba white truffle to French Perigord black truffle, Tasmanian black etc.
As being one of only 112 Krug ambassador chef, we have almost every bottles of Krug for you, along with many selection of old world wines. Working with Hawaii's first master sommelier Chuck Furuya, we also have premium wine pairing and monthly wine events.

Mochi pounding is said to bring good luck, let's see how luck we can be in the year 2025!!!

Truffle, truffle, and more truffle! We LOVE truffles, and this experience did not disappoint us. The winter white truffles were gorgeous and delicious. Definitely the best truffle dining experience I’ve ever had.

As alway’s, it was a superb evening. The entire staff was knowledgeable and friendly, the atmosphere is gorgeous, the various courses were elegant served, and the wine pairing is always extraordinary.

One of our favorite restaurants in Hawaii and our "go to" spot for great pasta, caviar and truffles. Love this place!

A truly magnificent experience. The food, ambiance, service and attention to detail was top notch. The wine pairing brought out the spectacular flavors. The quality of the food was exceptional. The sommelier’s knowledge of what to pair and what to expect was amazing. The truffles were aromatic and added so much more to the dishes. Caviar was great as well. Surprised my wife by having her birthday dinner here and she says it is now her favorite top notch restaurant. Thank you Margotto for the unforgettable dinner experience.

I can't think of anywhere else on Oahu where you could have rare treats such as fresh Alba white truffles or spanking fresh kinmedai bream-- even the eggs are specially sourced. Of course it's expensive, but you're also getting world-class food and wine.

Wow! I was worried after reading some old reviews, but I was very impressed. Will return. From service to food.... 5 stars! Michelin Star quality!

The food was okay. I ordered the rib eye steak, which had no flavour and was not salty enough. Disappointing. My partner ordered the fresh snapper, which was delicious. The pasta was a little disappointing, as the cilantro garnish overpowered the lobster, which was the main ingredient. It was not well balanced. The biggest disappointment was the service. For a fine dining restaurant, the water was not served properly. He served it across in front of me. He should have served it behind/to the right of me. Doesn't seem to have been properly trained. And the sommelier was even worse. He forced me to agree with what he recommended instead of listening to me. Why did he force me to agree with his opinion? I wish he had listened more to my comments on the wine selection.
