usually a good spot but food quality has gone down. food took very long to come out. talked up the espresso martini to my date, usually very good. we agreed tasted like chocolate water with a splash of vodka.

Great food. Diego is an awesome server. Upon arrival we received blank stares from two hostesses who did not greet us. We proceeded to approach them and share that we had reservations. We had a baby with us and it seemed like there was shock that someone would bring a baby to a ‘nice establishment’. Overall, it was still enjoyable. We sat close to the bar and the bar staff were super kind and waved at our baby for most of the meal and chatted with us about him.

It was a wonderful experience from the time we sat to we left. Everything about it was so awesome.

We requested a quiet table near a window if possible. We got a very noisy table in a pathway near the lavatory. The waitstaff was very nice and tried to be as accommodating as possible. The table side $40 Cacio e Pepe was delicious but barely warm. The kampachi ceviche was ok but I found it too sharply acidic to overpower the flavour of the delicate fish. The surf and turf - short rib and scallop was very good. The gnocchi was about a 7/10. The gnocchi itself wasn’t particularly light and the uniformity of the ridges suggest that it is not hand made as advertised. The accompanying marinara was tasty. Overall it was fine but we won’t be running back.

Love the food. Menu pricing is a bit silly. Outdoor space is lovely in the summer months.

I had a wonderful dinner at mare, from the moment I arrived until I left everything was great. The staff was very professional, everyone was very attentive and cordial, the food was delicious and the atmosphere very pleasant. They made my evening unforgettable, highly recommended.

Great service, very friendly and professional waitstaff. Delicious entrees and dessert, their homemade pasta is perfection. Salad was a bit overpowered with dressing, but still tasty. Place is beautiful, however, even with a reservation we were seated on an alley table which it gets a bit busy & noisy with people coming/leaving/waiting for a table (we asked hostess for a table inside or outside at the front, and she was not really flexible - even with 2/3 of the place still empty 😒). Definitely recommend it, will be back for sure.

What a disappointment. Condescending service, lousy food, broken toilet and when I told the hostess, she told me to “push the button inside the tank”. ARE YOU KIDDING. Zucchini blossoms use to be amazing. They were so greasy and had no taste. The mushroom pasta was ok but the clam pasta was cold and unappetizing. The waitstaff stood around talking, ignored us and then when we asked for some ice with our water, they were very dismissive. What a let down. With so many other restaurants in the North End, we will not be going back to Mare. You should be ashamed of yourselves.
