Service was good. Restaurant was VERY loud and packed. Food was okay in taste, unseasoned but inoffensive, and very expensive compared to similar restaurants.

Very much a party scene type atmosphere which is either good or bad depending on what you're looking for We were looking for a more subdued date-night away from the kids, so the ambiance was a little louder and livelier than what we were looking for (not the restaurant's fault obviously) The food overall was good. The cocktails we got were ok. The thing that shined and would bring us back when we're in the mood for this atmosphere was the shellfish. Oysters were fantastic; the shrimp cocktail might be the best we've had in the greater Boston area. Next time . . . maybe a few dozen oysters; 1/2 dozen shrimp cocktail and a bottle of champagne. For us, that would be the ideal night at Mare

Highly recommended!! I always go to dine at Mare and is always great. Service, food, atmosphere and staff! Best seafood in the north end

Arrived a bit early, "no problema, sita relax. Your friends from Wyoming will be here soon." Joseppe, Evening Host helped us choose a suitable table, made us comfortable and the stage was set for a delightful evening at MARE. Table Service, Food throughout was a delight. Molto Bene! Mangia, Mangia!

Great meal, the crisp trio and carpaccio were so fresh & delicious. And the gnocchi de mare was amazing. The deconstructed tiramisu is one of the best we’d ever had.

We first started going to MARE in 2015 now every time we travel to Boston we book a reservation. The only challenge is the menu has to many great options. Amazing Meal again last night.
