The service was good. The staff is really nice. We felt like the plates were overpriced for the quality. I had the halibut and my partner had the ribeye. It was okay. Lacked taste. Unfortunately, our server made a few mistakes when it was time to pay our check. It wasn’t the end of the world, but we weren’t really compensated for that, which is a bit disappointing. Overall, its a cute place to have a drink, but I wouldn’t go for supper again.

Pleasantly surprised! The bartender made great drinks including a Boulevardier making a fun show of it! Our appetizer of smashed potatoes poutine was full of flavor ( and we want another before we go back). Burgers were delicious. We went upstairs to the roof for a drink and the view is spectacular! Only suggestion is to get some more umbrellas or shade up there. Great place.

We have been there 2 x’s and both times we had great food. Their small plates are really great and seem to change often. Both times we also had great music! Was really fun!

Bar service way too slow. We finished our appetizers before our drink order appeared. 2nd round of drinks ordered when main course arrived, but didn't come until everyone was done their first course. At a minimum, the 2nd round of drinks should've been half-off. I know it is a new restaurant, so growing pains are expected. It was just annoying. That said, the food we very good. I want to recommend, but not yet.

This place is just okay. Our server was nice. . Schnitzel was mediocre (that was the draw for me); burger and fried green tomatoes were good according to my companions. I understand taste is subjective, however this place will not be on our list when we come back to LP.

Wouldn’t go back. Food was OK at best. Server lacked basic cocktail knowledge which resulted in an old fashion that was just straight bourbon being delivered to the table. Inquired with another about one of the appetizers and the response was also comically wrong. Enjoyed the atmosphere and music however being one of only a few diners diminished the ambience a bit.

Marcy Bar is a promising new restaurant in Lake Placid! With one of the former owners of Liquids & Solids at the helm, we had high expectations. The entrees were less elevated than we anticipated (heavy on burgers and sandwiches), but the variety of small plates more than made up for that. The house cocktails all looked amazing, 3 of 4 in our party ordered one, and we all enjoyed each. I didn't look at the beer and wine menu but, given that Keegan from L&S is at the helm, it's got to be good. We were there the Saturday of Memorial Day weekend, which was likely one of their first extremely busy days since being under new management, so the service was a little slow (often par for the course up here-which we like; it's nice not feeling rushed) but our server was pleasant, well-trained, and experienced. The host was gracious and attentive. The restaurant hired a small, talented band for entertainment. As good as they were, the music was too loud making it difficult to carry on a conversation, but that won't stop us from going back. I suspect they received feedback from diners already about this and have made adjustments. When you live in a somewhat isolated tourist area like Lake Placid, truly good dining options are limited. We have high expectations that Marcy Bar will become a fixture on our list of go-to restaurants for good food and drink.

The restaurant was clean and bright. We both ate the salmon main course and it was tasty and reasonably priced. Service was good and sufficiently attentive. However the live music was far too loud for a restaurant area which is effectively adjacent to the bar. Wouldn't have chosen the restaurant had we known that. I would recommend the restaurant but make sure that folks booking understand live music may drown out their dinner conversation.

Our meals did not arrive at the same time. One meal was completely forgotten. Two meals came without a key side, and we were never asked if we would like to change our order. Drinks took 35 minutes to arrive.
