Located within the retail and entertainment complex American Dream and adjacent to Meadowlands Sports Complex, Marcus Live Bar & Grille serves as a culinary centerpiece for visitors and an escape from city life. Led by Chef Marcus Samuelsson and with a menu emblematic of his personal cooking style, Marcus Live features everything from oysters on the half shell and tavern-style pizza to an assortment of steaks and barbecue to a selection of his signature items like Brown Sugar Wings and Old Bay Crab Cakes. There are also large format, shareable options, such as the "Garden State Jubilee" with rice and peas, grilled shrimp, fried chicken, sliced ribeye, vegetable couscous, and charred broccolini with optional surf and turf upgrades. The staff was great, the food was amazing, the kids menu was great and the service was phenomenal. They were so nice and friendly, and the selection was unique and simplistic all at the same time.

Roller skate Rib appetizer was delicious! Peach bbq sauce not overly sweet, just right! I had the ribeye steak, perfectly seasoned and cooked! I will return❤️

Outstanding Food, Great Service, Beautiful atmosphere. I had the ceviche which was amazing and the curry coconut cauliflower. I can’t wait to go back to have them again. My only disappointment was that a side didn’t come with the cauliflower for the price. Other than that, this restaurant is a MUST!

Loud food was good. Appetizers great. Service was slow at first trying to get a server but once found service was great.

The restaurant had the music turned up so loud, it registered 85-90dB on my NIOSH sound meter app on my phone. That's the equivalent of being right next to a lawnmower or a hairdryer. And there was no reason for it, since the place was almost empty at 7pm on a Friday. I asked the manager if they always kept it that loud, and he said yes, that's where they set it it, sorry if you don't like it. The only time I ever registered a noise level that loud was at a packed NYC bar. It's ridiculous to suffer through that at an empty restaurant in a mall. It's too bad; the food was actually pretty good, but no way we'll be back. Question: has Marcus ever visited this restaurant?

Good cocktails… nice enough waiter but food was not great… steak was like eating a shoe… salad not fresh… kids food and cornbread were the highlights…

We were excited to visit this new restaurant because I’m very familiar with the name behind the storefront. We were a bit disappointed because of the lack of variety in the menu, and the prices were pretty high for the casual food on the menu. With barely anyone in the restaurant, our service was not the best. We kept reminding the staff of the forgotten items that were ordered and they even mixed up our drinks so we started drinking others orders. The meat that was ordered seemed very overcooked and dry. We did like, however the dessert and the cornbread.

Food was amazing and the service was absolutely fantastic. I thought the value for money exceeded expectations, given the location. The wings lived up to the hype as did the cornbread. My wife tried the catfish special and I had the shrimp and grits. No faults to be found! My only knock would be the outside noise from the mall. We dined during a cheer competition on the main stage in the mall level 1 and it was extremely loud in the restaurant. I wasn't expecting a quiet atmosphere, however, I also wasn't expecting to not be able to hear the waiter when they were trying to take my order.
