Out of a gorgeous open kitchen featuring a wood-fired grill and oven, Marcus B&G serves elevated comfort classics and ambitious signature dishes. I’ve dined at Marcus Bar & Grille quite a few times for both dinner and the buffet, and it’s always been a solid experience. But this time around, I was really disappointed. The food wasn’t hot, the greens had this weird vinegar-like taste and were way overcooked, and the cornbread, which I’ve always loved, was just okay. Neither the chicken nor the fish were served hot either. Even the chicken had a garlic season taste to it. It was cold, not juicy, and fresh tasting. I’ve introduced several people to this restaurant, and since it was my birthday, I told my family that’s where I wanted to go. But to say I was disappointed would be an understatement. My family was with me, and I felt let down. Atlanta restaurants often struggle with consistency, but Marcus Bar & Grille was the one place I didn’t have to worry about—until now.

The food is good here. It is heavily seasoned but with good flavors. If you have high blood pressure, you may want to watch what and how much you eat. I have eaten the Sunday brunch here twice and enjoyed the food. But beware, there is an $8 charge for still water that they do not tell you up front. If you don’t want to be charged for water, be sure to ask specifically ask for tap water because they don’t offer it up front. Also, there is a mandatory 20% gratuity added to all bills regardless of party size. From my 2 visits, I’ve had the same customer service. Sub- par! They are always nice and friendly at first. But they don’t come back to your table and you have to flag them down repeatedly to ask for the same thing multiple times. I shouldn’t have to ask for drink refills or salt and pepper multiple times. Because of the automatic gratuity and ok-ish customer service, I won’t be back. You can get the same (or better) quality food at other restaurants for the same price. But if you’ve never been, it’s worth a try.

My wife and I went out on a date night. The food, ambience, tastiness, and vibe was amazing! We will be back for the Lamb Chops, Ribeye, and Mac n Cheese again! Thanks.

I made a reservation for 2 ppl on a Saturday night and luckily it was some slots available. First interaction with the hostess was not as pleasant, as I would have wanted. So, my first impression was off to a rocky start. She sat me and my guest at the bar, with my back to the door which was very uncomfortable for me. I asked to be seated at another table and was basically ignored. The hostess stated, she would have to inquire with someone to see if I can be moved, it was available seating all around the restaurant. Instead of lingering around the hostess, I decided to go to the restroom, and align my energy (lol). I came back to my seat at the bar and immediately ordered a drink (James Baldwin). While I was seated, the cooks was preparing food in front of me and I had the wonderful pleasure of talking to Princeton!! He was absolutely phenomenal, he was not a server, he was prepping the food, answered all my questions and described each dish to a "T". I have to say, he turned a negative into a positive! I ordered the crab cakes, deviled eggs, cornbread and for entrée, I ordered the wings!! Everything was on POINT!!! No need to harp on my initial experience with the hostess. I will be back!!

This was my first time visit to MBG, and it’s been on my brunch bucket list for a few months now! Aside from the lights not working in the bathroom they did NOT disappoint!! It was sooo many pros that overpowered that 1 con. 100/10 recommend!!🤩🤩 My favorite options from this weekend’s brunch buffet would have to be the pancakes, shrimp & grits, chopped salad, fried chicken & the COLLARD GREENS😋😋!!! I hate I got too full to try the macaroni & cheese. But I hope to be back in the near future to try it!!

OMG! This place is fantastic. The valet and restaurant staff are friendly, professional, respectful, and helpful. Everyone working at this restaurant appeared to enjoy working there. They made excellent food and drink recommendations. They check back on the customers regularly and seem to enjoy interacting with each other and the customers. It is a very friendly establishment, and I plan to return with more friends and family soon for the breakfast and dinner brunch.

Very good food…staff was friendly and upbeat. The food came out in good timing, but it took a while to receive the check. That being said, I plan to go back again, 👍🏽👍🏽!!

Loved it. Was not expecting the food to be so good. My first plate I had to tell someone and texted all my friends they need to add this place to their next brunch location. There was so many options of food on the brunch buffet. Even vegan options. Definitely coming back to try dinner and definitely for more brunch.
