Marcus Bar & Grille is a vibrant, funky neighborhood restaurant dreamt up by Chef Marcus Samuelsson. Out of a gorgeous open kitchen featuring a wood-fired grill and oven, Marcus B&G serves elevated comfort classics and ambitious signature dishes. Taking cues from the history of Atlanta and the Old Fourth Ward, the space is built to celebrate community, music, and great food & drink.

We enjoyed our overall brunch buffet experience. The staff was very friendly, we loved the decor, and the DJ played great music. All of the food was very flavorful with the shrimp gumbo and biscuit being our favorites. The sausage patty, salmon, fried chicken and brisket were unfortunately very dry and the dessert table was more of an afterthought with only a couple of choices and fresh fruit offered (cantaloupe & melon). The valet was also not present when we arrived so we paid to park ($15!) in a lot down the street as there was no street parking available and we did not want to be late for our reservation.

EVERYTHING about this place was good. The only thing that I had a complaint about was the collard greens, and the truffle fries. I would not recommend…. Everything else … A1! The service was AMAZING . The ambience was absolutely perfect.

Our experience was very inconsistent. Service started out attentive, but slow, and it evolved to be very inattentive. Food also was inconsistent. We had good appetizers. Entrees had some good and some bad. Truffle fries were woefully undercooked. Jerk chicken had amazing flavor, but was dry and overcooked. Food did not all come out together, and we kept having to wave our hands to get a server's attention. Overall, would not return.
