Really enjoyed the tortellini with pulled brisket. Our table by the window was great.

Food was grand as was the service. A little pricey by the time you order a separate side dish but over all a marvelous experience.

This could be a great little restaurant. However, it’s currently bang average at best. Prices don’t reflect the quality or quantity of the food or drinks that are served and the service was also quite poor. Get rid of the service charge. There is no incentive for staff to be attentive if they feel they’re getting guaranteed tip. To summarise I feel this place is trying to be a lavish fine dining hotspot, but it’s fallen well short of the mark. You will leave this place hungry with sore wallet.

A simply brilliant evening out yesterday at Marco’s. The initial warm welcome, then seating at a lovely table close to the back full length windows. The stone walls and stained glass windows of the monastery next door, lit up with changing light colours - wow. The ambience was lovely, soft jazz-style music, tables not too close together so there was just a nice buzz of chat. The staff were simply top-class, friendly, helpful and well informed about the food and wine options. But the food - oh my, the food was just fabulous. Three of us shared starters meze-style - halloumi, tzatziki and chorizo - all so very fresh and tasty. Main courses of sea bass, kleftedes and lamb skewers were just as good, it had us sharing again ! All in all a simply marvellous evening out. There may be a better restaurant in Rye or East Sussex than Marco’s……but I seriously doubt it !

We normally visit at least once a year and always looking forward to dining at Marcos on our visit. However this year the Marco's experience was a let down. Number 1 we was put on a table with a wonky leg, they even told us it was wonky and have tried to fix the problem but couldn't get it resolved (so why not remove the table so nobody can use it or put a paying customer on a stable table table). Number 2 we ordered the humous and beef for a starter this was nothing like the one we had last year, the beef as just shredded like chow-mein and tasted a bit tough. Number 3 my partner ordered the chicken kyrious again last year it was served separately year so you could put your own amount of ingredients, this year you got 2 like in a taco and was already prepared. So will be our last visit to Marcos it just seemed a bit too fast chain food and the atmosphere and personal touch has been losted

We had an amazing lunch at Marcos for my niece's 18th birthday. The staff were super friendly and the food excellent. I think we had the best table right in the window,a lovely lunchtime had by all!

Very nice food - competently cooked. Well-made cocktails and very friendly yet professional service. Our second time there and I'm sure we'll be back

Service was really good, very attentive and friendly staff however the food was not as good as in previous visits. Much smaller plates, pasta was out of a packet a d brisket wasn’t worth a mention. Might be better to be marketing as small plates.
