Born in the City of Delights, or more commonly known as Palermo, Italy, Marcello fell in love with cooking from a very young age. Influenced by the crystal clear water, the flavours of the culturally rich air and a little encouragement from his mother, he went on to receive professional training from Milan and owned a restaurant on the Adriatic Sea. Now for over 20 years he's brought his joy of Southern Italian cooking to Vancouver. Marcello's is a neighbourhood gem on Commercial Drive in the heart of little Italy set for any occasion.

We had a great experience here and were very happy with the food and the service. Everyone was so nice and accommodating. My bolognese was just ok but the Caesar salad and pesto bacon pasta were fabulous!

Our meals were all very good (pizza, bolognese, vongole, cannelloni), except the cannelloni was bland and had to ask for sauce to improve it…which it did. The noise (music) level is very high which makes having a conversation very difficult.

Usually one of our favourites but service was slow and forgetful this time. For the price they need to do better. Waiting for a drink for 15 minutes is a bit much. Had to ask a different server to help us. Food luckily was fine.

Short staffed for sure. The servers did the best they could however. Food had no complaints from the six of us.

Marcellos has been a staple for decades but it’s been a long time since we went and it’s just as delicious as we remembered, will be back sooner next time

I true spot that welcomes family. Great portions. Classic Italian. Staff and owner welcoming and warm. Always consistent with their menu items! Recommend Verde salad! Amazing!
