Founded in 1996 the ideas for the Marblehead Chowder House were actually hatched a few years before. Sitting at "The Barnacle," overlooking Marblehead Harbor one raw winter day, while the spume from the rough saltwater painted the windows and the Sam Adams Lager flowed freely, a concept was born. Casual, coastal and cozy - fresh seafood, fin fish, shellfish and hearty chowders in a warm, relaxing atmosphere that says "seaside" - a place that had tradition, patriotism, and a New England heritage about it. Fresh ingredients, house-made soups and chowders, comfort food with a twist freshly prepared to order were all musts! Features unique to New England were the foundation – Ipswich Belly Clams (aka steamers, softshells, pissers), fresh Lobster Roll, a Raw Bar with half-shell oysters and clams and, of course, live Lobsters arriving regularly. Lighthouses and other nautical décor highlight the ambience to create a coastal dining experience like none other in the greater Lehigh Valley.

First time I have been to Marblehead chowder, absolutely the most amazing seafood restaurant in South Jersey. Took my best friend there for his birthday and he loved the giant lobster tail.

A great place to get seafood without having to drive to the shore. Food selections are plentiful at an affordable price.

Everything we ordered was delicious and fresh. It's definitely a hidden gem that not enough people are talking about. Our server was great. No wait to be seated on a Friday night!

Had a very nice dinner last night. Place was fairly crowded but our reservation saved us from having to wait. Our waitress came a few minutes after we sat down. She asked had we ever dined there before and went over the specials that are on a blackboard they bring to each table. She took our drinks order which came quickly. She then took our dinner order. Many entrees under $20. We ordered 2 of those and shared a plate of steamers. They were nice size and very clean. Bread was brought to the table along with our salads. Entrees come with 2 sides. We each had a salad and a potato as our sides. Food came inn a reasonable amount of time. Server came a few times to ask if we needed anything. Overall a good experience. Will certainly go again.

Excellent service. Our server, Dawn, was very knowledgeable about the menu and did a terrific job! . We had the lobster cheese pierogis and a tasty flight of four soups for appetizers . All the soups were delicious! Lobster tail for me and salmon Oscar for the hubby. Peanut butter silk pie for dessert. We will definitely go back! Yum!

Good food at reasonable prices. There was live music in the next room. Very enjoyable.

Love the consistency of Marblehead Chowder House- the food and the service are always spectacular! I tried the coconut shrimp bowl this time for something new. The shrimp was fabulous. The coconut breading was so yummy. I don't like spicey, so the pineapple salsa added just the right amount of "kick" to make it perfect for my tastebuds! We finished off with the pumpkin cheesecake- wow!! Can't wait to go back for some more!!

The food besides being good, was a very good value from the below $20 menu. The 3 of us couldn't finish our dinners. Two of did have soup, with the big size salad it made finishing more difficult. I was a little surprised seeing the full rack of BBQ ribs for that price. I wasn't disappointed. No room for dessert after all that. Finally our host Tyler was extremely pleasant and helpful.

Me and the wife have eaten there a few time and over all everything was great. We just left there about a hour ago and had 8 people for dinner. All was very pleased with the meals. Would recommend your restaurant to all.
