La comida no es espectacular, creo que los precios están a nivel del mercado, pero si quieres ir a cenar y platicar con tus amigos no es el mejor lugar, es muy ruidoso, parece algún restaurante de grupo rosa negra en México o que estás en Tulum, lo rescato por la atención que nos dio nuestra mesera

Overall we had a great time, the food was delicious and unique. I had called beforehand to ask for them to note a birthday and to deliver a seis leches cake after our meals. They acknowledged the birthday when we arrived but forgot about the cake so I had to remind them, then I was charged which I was told it was a complementary thing otherwise I would have brought my own full size cake from Whole Foods. That was the only disappointing aspect.

To get to the point - their drinks, service, and decor are all great. For the price, I was disappointed in the food quality. Wife had the sea bass which overall was a nice combo of flavors, but the fish smelled much more than I would expect from sea bass and tasted too strongly of the ocean. I had the short rib plate ($70). The veggies were undercooked inside and bland; the whole plate itself did not come together in terms of flavor. I didn't finish the meal. So go here for a good time with the staff and to have drinks at the bar. Reconsider whether or not to have a meal here.

Good ambiance. Service was good not great. Most importantly, the food was just ok and fairly expensive. Not sure we will return.

Food and service was very good. Noise level is extremely high. Hard to get a reservation. Noticed many empty tables

It was our first time at Mar y Sol For my mom’s birthday. Aesthetically the restaurant is gorgeous, the service and the ambience was great. The food was six out of 10. The drinks were an eight out of 10.

Charming lovely restaurant reminded me of my trip to Buenos Aires. The empanadas were delicious, somewhat different than empanada in Argentina and Chili, but empanadas are different in each region so no surprise. The street tacos were equally delicious. Service was very good. Yes, it was a bit noisy; however that contributed to the vibe of a South American restaurant. Overall a great experience. I highly recommend this restaurant and definitely will return.

We went to dine at Mar y sol yesterday . The ambience and the food was great . The service by our waiter was also very good. For a table of two the searing arrangement is very congested . Tables are spaced way too close that you can clearly hear your neighbors. Our food was great . My poblano salad had a piece of plastic in it. When I showed it to the waiter he apologized and quickly told us the manger would come and speak to us. The manager never showed up . He let the waiter know to waive off the charges. After paying our bill my husband went and spoke to the manager who did not apologize but said he was busy and told us that he asked the waiter to take care of it. Fair enough but in large and nice restaurants like these , situations like this cannot be purely transactional . There needs to be a lot of value placed to customer service because at the end of the day nobody is looking for a free entree. He did apologize in the end but it was too late by then! So that did definitely leave a sour taste in our mouth and we I’ll think twice about returning
