The Historic Inn is located just 7 miles outside of downtown Gettysburg, Pennsylvania and is nestled by the Blue Ridge Mountains.     The food, crab stuffed flounder, was absolutely flavorless. Not even salt and pepper on the table to try to doctor it up. I found that to be arrogant on the chefs part. The waitress does a great job I'm asking if you would like biscuits on the table, not telling you there's $8 charge for them. The potatoes and carrots weren't even hot/warm.

    The owners and weight staff were gracious and accommodating as always. The food was a bit disappointing. The salmon was overcooked and bland. The micro greens were hard to find as they were squished beneath the piping hot salmon. The plate was dominated by carrots. When the bill came I noticed the cost for the entrée was $38 whereas the menu listed the dish at $36. It’s the little things that matter.

    The restaurant has a lot of potential. It's very dark and dated. The food was just okay. I found it very strange that my french toast came with the vegetable of the day, which was scalloped potatoes and carrots. Everyone was very nice and attentive.

    Wonderfully historic building and gracious owners (and staff) more than happy to offer hospitality, information and guided tours but the food was very disappointing, especially given the price point. My wife had scallops which were small and rubbery. I had crab stuffed flounder which was just ok. Risotto came with both but seemed to come from a box. Maybe the non-seafood items were the way to go.

    We really wish it were better. The meal was not 5 star the service staff and owner were fantastic. But the food we ordered was simply not up to the expectation provided by website or menu. The crab egg roll 12 was 4.5 / 11 salad 4/5 8 Peach soup was 4/5 28 for fried chicken fingers. 1/5 38 for scallops 3/5 To be fair the table next to us had the crab cakes and a black bean dish and were super happy. We would not go back.

    We did enjoy but I am not a biscuit person. We had them for a shareable and then it was part of the breakfast sandwich. Otherwise it was fine and we would eat there again.
