Brothers, Kyle and Jason Barraza are proud to introduce you to Mankas Grill located at the historic Mankas Corner.
Named after one of the original owners, Christley Manka, the building was established in 1853 as a major stagecoach stop between Berryessa Valley and the Suisun City port. Today, Mankas Grill offers new and sensational twists on culinary staples that we are excited to share with the community.

I wanted to like this place really badly, but unfortunately, it fell short of that. The hostess and who I am assuming is the manager were extremely friendly and kind and kept us updated on our table while it was still getting prepared. We waited at the bar and ordered drinks that were nice and then eventually got seated at our table. My rating of this review is mostly based on the quality of the food. For an appetizer, we ordered the pork belly nachos and the beet and goat cheese salad. The cheese that was used for the nachos didn’t taste very good and a combination with the other items made the nachos taste like subpar bar food. The chips were kind of soggy, and there wasn’t much flavor in the pork belly. The salad was extremely dry and the other vegetable in it did not have any flavor and tasted like filling. There could’ve been more dressing on it, but it didn’t really taste like much of anything. For our entrées, we got the burger and the beef brisket. The beef brisket was extremely overcooked and the inside felt dry. The mashed potatoes were fine and the carrots were a bit strange because it was a combination of really nice baby carrots but then regular carrots that were halved And just kind of put there. The burger was not great. The bun was extremely greasy and the patty was very dry and overcooked. The french fries were very obviously frozen and then fried and not fresh at all. The gentleman that refilled our waters was extremely sweet and nice and had a great smile and personality and was probably the only person that we encountered other than the manager and hostess that was actually smiling.

Always a pleasure. Tanner was attentive and kind. Their rib eye tacos are fantastic as always. The grilled cheese and tomato soup was delicious!

The food is excellent as is the service. However, the noise level was so high it was difficult to carry on a conversation. Some sort of noise screen needs to be put around the bar area, or move it to another section. Isn't there a downstairs area that could be used for the bar?

We arrived at the restaurant at 4:50 without a reservation, to an empty restaurant. The hostess told us that they were full of reservations and offered us high bar seats with no back stools, outside seating w/ heaters (45'), or bar seating. We declined all offers. We went to our car made a 5 pm reservation through Open Table, returned, and were seated immediately. Our server was delightful and our meal was good. We've been going to Mankas Grill for years. This was our first hiccup with the whole reservation thing. So will give a pass to the hostess. Maybe she was having an off night.

Great food, we were there during happy hour and had some great food and drinks. Friendly staff too.

Baked Brie was delicious, as were the oysters. Ordered the Lamb Chops, which came out cold as was the mashed potatoes. I sent them back and returned, still cold. Didn’t dare send back a second time. Extremely disappointed and didn’t feel that $62 was value for 3 small chops. Won’t ever order lamb again from Mankas
