All aspects of our dinner were above average. We didn’t get that “wow” factor we look for when trying new places but we were still impressed. I had the chicken & waffles and my wife had the lobster roll with Cajun fries. Both meals were very good but the Cajun fries stole the show. We also had the corn fritters for an appetizer and the key lime pie for dessert which may have been the best part of our dinner. There were some items on the menu that we still want to try so we will definitely be returning. I’d recommend this place for a nice meal with the family or a low key, small group celebration such as a birthday dinner or anniversary.

Clean and inviting atmosphere. Menu is pretty limited at brunch, it would be nice to have more "lunch" items available at 11 am. Couldn't substitute fruit for the hashbrowns . Food was fresh and tasty and experience otherwise was good.

The king crab legs were over cooked. The meat stuck to the inside of the shell so bad we ended up throwing away a lot. Some of the legs were small, especially small for king. Some legs were not decent quality. Our 2lbs of legs were also cold by the time they made it to our table. The Cajun fries were some of the best fries we’ve ever had. Daily bread was pretty good, but over priced for the value. Drinks were great! Staff were kind.

Shrimp and Grits - the meal I dream about, and this did not disappoint!! Mallards has one of the best around. My friends each had the smash burgers and they were very good, as well. The sangria was well mixed with the right amount of zest. A little loud, but you get used to that really quick. Affordable prices.

Waiter disappeared after we got his food and had to wait for 10 minutes to get our check.

Our server was rude and gave very poor service. It seemed that since we were not ordering apps or alcohol, he felt we were unimportant. He did not take our order until we had been there for 45 minutes. Likewise, we waited 30 minutes for our check with no contact in between.

Me and 3 of my best buddies all ordered the pb&j (jalapeno) stackburger and it was good af. Others at the table enjoyed fish & chips, shrimp po'boy and meatloaf sandwich. Yum! our server knew we were there from work for lunch so he kept it brief.

I was there during their lobster fest and I had the lobster roll. I had just had one in Cape Cod this summer and this one was pretty darn close and delicious.
