Service was a little slow. Very loud and hard to have a conversation. Loved crab leg special great price!

We came to Mallards for lobster bisque. We were served very small portion which had extremely small pieces of lobster and no flavor. The salad was dismal.

Love the food and our server, Jay, was great! He has been our server before and we are always happy to see him arrive at our table! It is a bit noisy - so you need to take that into consideration with your group if that is a concern.

This was our first visit to Mallards and we really liked the food and atmosphere. We were able to visit easily with low noise level. Definitely would go back again.

First time going there and we were seated right away. The waitress we had to wait for a long time to come and get take our drink order which was just water. Took her forever to get the water. And same for ordering the food, but thank goodness the food was hot and very tasty! The price was right too! If we come again we will not ask for that waitress ever again. Not pleased with her.

We had a very nice Mother's Day brunch at Mallards. I had never been there before and was pleased with the quality of the food and the pastry/fruit buffet.

We were promptly seated, the food and drinks were delivered timely… but everything was “just ok” at best. We had the seafood campechana (ceviche) which was pretty good, the lobster mac and cheese - the very orange cheese sauce left a very heavy coating in your mouth, not what you would expect to be paired with delicate lobster. The pecan crusted walleye was very bland; the sweetness from the sweet potatoes overpowered the fish. The crab stuffed salmon was a recommendation from the server… the salmon was very good, the crab cake was mostly filler, served with mashed potatoes. No vegetables were served with any of the meals. Overall, our $150 dinner left us feeling a bit disappointed… we don’t mind spending this kind of money on a good meal, but unfortunately, this just didn’t hit the mark. I am surprised this place is so well reviewed.

Server, Jay, was GREAT but it seemed like he had too many tables to cover so we ended up waiting for drinks. Food was good, but nothing that would make me want to return. Shrimp & grits looked really good. Jambalaya was pretty bland but shrimp cooked perfectly. If we return, it’ll be for shrimp & grits.

Five of us met here for dinner on the first beautiful spring weekend in MN- guessing that had something to do with it being on the quiet side. Our server was friendly, helpful and offered recommendations. We shared two appetizers which were both delicious and each of us really enjoyed our entrees.
