    Join us for an unforgettable New Year's Eve celebration! This year, we're hosting a black and gold glamorous masquerade party that includes: -A complimentary mask upon arrival -A photo booth with keepsake picture to take home -Champagne toast at midnight -Pass around pupus -DJ and dancing with DJ Eat a Mango *21 years and older Dress Code: We recommend guests dress in black and gold to match the theme, though it's not mandatory. Doors open at 9:30 PM. Tickets are $120, or $75 if you dine with us during dinner service on 12/31.     Great experience at the Mala Tavern. Food was fresh and fabulous. Service was exceptional as well as the ocean side dining. Glad to have found Mala on this trip back to Maui.

    We have come to Maui over 12 years and this is our favorite restaurant for breakfast on the ocean Fantastic service and food and so lovely on the ocean Can’t wait to come back to Maui

    The Mala Ocean Tavern is our favorite restaurant on Maui. The food, service, and dining experience are always fabulous. However, last night was an exception. The noise from the bar was exceptionally loud which negatively impacted diner conversations. Perhaps additional noise reduction materials/steps could be added to improve the broader dining experience.

    We’ve been coming here for years,but we were disappointed with our meals. We had reservations but had to wait 30 minutes to get seated. Other people we met waited over an hour. In the upside service was great

    Without a doubt this is the best breakfast, lunch and dinner spot on Lahiana. Been going here for years and never disappointed.

    I had the ribeye, large size, cooked well, but quality of meat was average. My wife had MahiMahi dish and felt it too was average. Lots of sauce and canned tasting mushrooms.

    Mala continues to be the mainstay of dining in Lahaina. Our team continues to dine here 2-3 time weekly when on island. The ambiance is wonderful with beautiful views and welcoming staff that embodies aloha. The hostess Ika greeted us immediately and arranged for a table on the patio which is a favorite of ours. Tonight our appetizers and specifically the coconut prawns were delicious paired with our blanc d’ blanc. Then with our wine it was a great start. The seared ahi was differently presented with mash potatoes and beans. The ahi was perfectly prepared. Our bread pudding and root beer float topped off the night nicely with warmed cognac. Our server John has been with Mala for years and anticipated our food orders graciously. Thank you Mala for welcoming us back home!

    We had the Lemon Ricotta Pancakes and the Eggs Benedict, with Pineapple and POG Mimosas. Wow! Perfectly prepared and plated. Our waiter was excellent - friendly and efficient. To top it all off, we saw sea turtles swimming in the ocean right under the window we were seated by. What a delicious and delightful experience!
