Le Makoto, le nouveau restaurant japonais de Stephen Starr, est situé dans le prestigieux Bal Harbour Shops. Il propose un menu japonais moderne avec des sélections de sushis, des mets japonais contemporains et des plats « robata », cuits sur charbon (binchōtan). Une carte des boissons fabriquées à la main saura accompagner vos plats, Il est possible de réserver des places en salle à manger et au bar à sushis.     We waited almost 30 minutes for the server to acknowledge we were sitting after asking repeatedly for someone to send them over. Drinks took equally as long. Once we ordered, the food comes out rapidly fast. Food is always consistently good, service not so much.

    Had tonight the sushi making class such an incredible experience from the moment i stepped into the the restaurant had a welcoming drink of my choice and the appetizers started coming one after the other with refills of my drink and then they moved us to the sushi making area where everything was happening at the background the experience was so fun and then we ate all the sushi that we made with the help of our chef Akihisa Kawawi and there was a huge tuna sitting infront of us on the the counter he cut it and even gave us to try from it they kept replenishing the drinks and at the end we finished our fantastic meal with dessert thank you to Maria Bernedo to sticking around the whole night and guiding us about the whole process throughout the night

    The food did not meet my expectations. The Wagyu carpaccio arrived nearly frozen, with ice crystals still clinging to it, and it was overwhelmed by an excessive amount of sauce. The oysters were decent, but not as impressive as I had anticipated. The lamb chops were acceptable, though they were meant to be medium rare and fell short of that standard.
