Le Makoto, le nouveau restaurant japonais de Stephen Starr, est situé dans le prestigieux Bal Harbour Shops. Il propose un menu japonais moderne avec des sélections de sushis, des mets japonais contemporains et des plats « robata », cuits sur charbon (binchōtan). Une carte des boissons fabriquées à la main saura accompagner vos plats, Il est possible de réserver des places en salle à manger et au bar à sushis. La terrasse extérieure fonctionne sur le principe du premier arrivé, premier servi.

    I have been going to Makoto regularly over the past 10+ years. The food has always been amazing but it’s now the best it’s ever been. The service and management are incredible and we highly recommend. The extra outside seating has made it even more of a pleasure.

    Es un lugar muy agradable y muy buena comida con buen servicio. Deberían por camareros de habla español para poder saber más sobre los productos, teniendo en cuenta que reciben mucho turismo de habla español

    We have been going to this restaurant for many years. And we have our favorite dishes, lately we have noticed changes…. First we always order spicy edamame and for the second time they bring them to us prepared differently and not fully cooked, we have to return them to the kitchen and ask to redo them.( This time, even when they brought them to us a second time, they were still not prepared the same way as before. That’s disappointing.

    As soon as they see you are with teen agers they sit you on the other new side of the terrace not the same vibe

    I’ve visited twice and honestly the service is subpar- both times our food wasn’t coursed out, waiter hardly checked in, waters not full etc. However, both the food and ambiance are amazing. I recommend the rock shrimp, waygu skewers, beef noodles, crispy rice, house salad, and the chocolate cake. The second time i visited though, the lava cake wasn’t fully warmed up- like the “lava” was still hard which was slightly annoying. Also- the bathroom was a wreck?? No paper towels to dry hands. Odd. But the food and ambiance made it a positive experience and I would return.
