Our menu features a selection of high quality sushi, appetizers, small plates and entrees with a Filipino flare.

Owner and Executive Chef R.J. Apozaga has spent the last 20 years perfecting his skills behind the sushi bar.
R.J. and wife Dana opened MaKi (named after their children while also meaning sushi roll in Japanese) in May of 2018.

With two floors of dining space, MaKi is perfect for large groups or a romantic evening at one of our desirable two top tables overlooking Main Street.

Very good. When we want good quality sushi Maki is our go to!! Always good. The surf and turf is a little off this time, but as always to great sushi!

The culinary mix of filipino and Japanese cuisine was very creative, great presentation, and fresh made. Felt like I was back home in Hawai'i.

Sushi was delicious and fresh, as always. We had the Salmon dinner, Tiger rolls, Clemson rolls, and Lucky Charm roll. We brought 2 friends with us, that had never been to Maki Sushi and they loved it!

The sushi was delicious and fresh as always. I only gave 4 stars because they put cream cheese on my husband’s roll after he asked them to leave it off. We each ordered 2 rolls and they mixed them up, so we were having to eat off each other’s boards. We said something about it, but they didn’t seem concerned.

I'm so sorry Kiki! We had hoped that the new staff member would have shined and taken great care of you. I will discuss this with him (and the sushi bar) to remind everyone to always alert the manager when there is any kind of mistake.

MaKi never disappoints, the food was fantastic as usual! MaKi is by far the best sushi restaurant in all of the upstate. The service is always spot on and everyone there is super friendly. My wife and I have been countless times and have never experienced an "off" night at MaKi. They are also a great spot for large parties when celebrating a special event.

We sat at the sushi bar counter so we could watch the chef prep…. That was a great experience. We had a small party of 3 however. If you had a larger group, would need to sit at a table. They had a nice wine selection also. Our server, Cassie, was very proficient and friendly.

Service was fantastic. We sat upstairs. Sometimes it feels like there is a delay. That was not the case. Everything was at pace with our needs. Very well done!

Maki is always delicious but last night my party of six could barely hear one another due to the noise level. The service was also slow. Our waiter was hustling but the bar and kitchen were slow last night.

The cucumber wrap and toro sashimi are must-have appetizers for us. The cucumber wrap is refreshing, crisp and full of flavor and the toro melts in your mouth. The lucky charm is our favorite roll, while the poke bowl is like a deconstructed LC - just as tasty and (maybe) easier to eat. I don’t remember his name, but the bartender waited on us and he was fantastic. Can’t wait till next time!
