Major Tom is elevated yet approachable, excellent and at ease, confident and gracious. The food, the room, and the service capture the sophistication and glamour of mid-century New York penthouse life, and you feel instantly at home. We maintain the high standards our guests have come to expect, and we do this while being down-to-earth, lively, playful, quirky, fun, and full of personality.

What an amazing experience. Saw an opening for a 4:15 reservation, so snagged it last minute and headed down. Decided to start with their specialty cocktails: Peach Old Fashioned and Strawberry Negroni. I was worried they would be too sweet/fruity, but the flavour was subtle and ended up being fantastic. Next we went for their Potato Donuts, Salmon Crudo and Steak Tartare. The tartare is so far the best in Calgary I've had. The slightly larger pieces of beef, capers, and sourdough were perfection. I almost want there to be an egg yolk instead of the aioli, but still amazing. The donut was a great bite and kind of a must try at $8. The crudo wasn't our thing because the herbs overpowered the salmon and wanted more of a vinegar flavour. Then we had the MT Burger which was cooked to order (we went for medium rare to medium) because they grind their own patties. This is by far the best non-smashed burger. Honestly one of the best burgers in town. At $29 I would hope so, but with the perfectly seasoned fries it is worth it. For dessert we went for the Old Fashioned Baked Alaksa which was one of my favorite desserts I've had. The service was also spectacular and the views are top-notch, especially when you get to see the sunset and the city lights after.

Came to celebrate our daughter’s graduation from university. Had a group of 6. Were welcomed with a glass of bubbly and a card signed by all the staff for her special day. Our server, Alex, met our every request. From food and wine recommendations to timing of dishes for us to enjoy. We had a splendid time and a wonderful memory to cherish!! Thank you!!

Fine dining at its best. Great food, ambience, top notch service from Barry and beautiful cityscape views of downtown. 5 stars and will visit again soon.

Overall I give Major Tom a 3.8 stars. Just something was off for a full 4 stars for me. The Blackberry and Basil soda was ok. I was hoping it had more punch. The potato doughnuts were good. The rigatoni pasta was great and a highlight of the 3 items I ordered. The place is nice and a fun spot to take someone out of town. However, the music is way too loud to have a conversation with the person across the table from you.

Really pleased to bring friends from out of town to experience Major Tom. Great food, great service, and you can’t beat the view. Just perfect!

Cocktails are amazing. Highly recommend the strawberry negroni. It was my friend's birthday and she got a handwritten birthday card form the staff. Really nice touch

Amazing evening great ambience delicious food! We ordered steak and cod absolutely loved both dishes. You have to try the old fashioned Baked Alaska ❤️ city views are fabulous!
