The food truck is better in my book. It was a nice space but the food was not as good and more expensive

Overall really happy with my dining experience here! Having been to the food truck it was nice to see some familiar items from that. We went in the Brunch hours and we learned the brunch menu hasn’t been fully rolled out yet. Taco plate is well worth it and the tortilla sizes are generous. Noise isn’t that bad most of the time but between the guitar shop above them and the train tracks it can get noisy.

Food and drinks were amazing! The mezcal service was great too! The food came out fast, the servers were really busy so they didn’t refill water timely or check in as often

An authentic yet elevated dining experience with cool twist on some dishes you’d see at a traditional Mexican restaurant. I’d prefer the bar or a booth over the family style tables in the middle but it was all good and an overall great experience. I’ll definitely be back.

The quesabirria taco was amazing. I can't wait to go back. It was so nice to eat at a place where the food has so much flavor.

We had high expectations, and Maiz de la Vida did not disappoint! Every aspect from drinks to food to service was spot on. We loved the lengua taco, mole duck breast and corn grits. But the star of the show for us were the salmon taquitos. The space is beautiful, bright and well designed. Communal tables and plenty of bar and chef’s counter seating create a friendly, comfortable feel. Everybody on the service staff seemed happy to be there and super proud of what they’ve created. And for good reason. Way to go, Julio and team! Nashville is lucky to have this latest addition to the MdlV family!

We had an incredible meal at Maiz while visiting from Chicago. Our server, Dakota, was very attentive and informative about the drinks and menu items and made some great recommendations. Excellent house made margaritas that are refreshing and neither too tart or too sweet. The hand made corn tortillas made from fresh milled corn were absolutely delicious and incredibly fresh and flavorful. From here on out, all corn tortillas will fail in comparison. The stand outs for us were the grits with vegetables, duck mole, carne asada, and it was a tie between the chocolate tart or the tres leches cake. This is an elevation in Mexican cuisine that was a delight for us to experience. We will definitely be back when visiting. Thank you for expanding our definition of Mexican cuisine beyond the usual taco or burrito.
