Maie Day is bringing prime time to South Congress Ave every Friday lunch, from 11AM-3PM, or ‘til sold out!* Enjoy a thick slice of famous wagyu prime rib with au jus and horseradish cream for $19, sliced hot & to order by Chef Michael Fojtasek from Maie Day’s premier tableside prime rib cart. Add on creamed kale and mashed potatoes for $8 each for a full plate. Dig in while you jam along to live music by Austin’s own Grateful Dead tribute band, Fennario Flats and save room for a Gimme Burger: the full brunch and bar menu is available to order, too. Very long wait especially for mediocre food quality, poor service overall, didn’t seem like the kitchen had their ducks in a row. Maybe server forgot to put order in but there were not that many people in the dining room for that to have been a reasonable mistake to make.

Great NY strip steak. Took 25 mins to get it, food came out erratically, very understaffed. Our waitress was doing her absolute best, but was no match for a slow (maybe also understaffed) kitchen. This is a management issue. If you want to charge these prices, you have to make sure that all of the menu is worth it, and that it's served in good time, at the same time - top down. Sorry - if this were half the price, I wouldn't complain, but you're asking for a certain amount of money, you have to deliver a worthwhile product. Won't return. Too bad, bc it's in our neighborhood.

Went to Maie Day for my wife's birthday and our dinner was beyond expectations and we were blown away! Every dish was so incredibly delicious and service staff (Josh) was just amazing. We will definitely be back!

Wonderful waitress and staff. The food was great. We like the idea of sharing-family style. We really liked the bourbon oysters-unique! The only complaint-The noise/music was loud so we had to speak louder than usual.

Love this restaurant! Fabulous ambiance, delicious food and the service was excellent! Plenty of GF options and the steak I had was the best I've had in a long time!

Greeted with a wood Smokey ambiance. We love this restaurant. Style, decor and customer service are fantastic. Best Mac and cheese in town. Large potion plates, best to order a few and share with the table.

I asked to upgrade my steak frites to loaded fries, and they gave me that, but charged me the price of the steak frites and a whole appetizer for loaded fries, and didn’t give me the fries that should have came with the steak frites. the server said they couldn’t do anything about it. also tried to charge me for something we sent back. but otherwise, the service was excellent, great experience, but that sort of thing that leaves a bad taste. ambiance was amazing too.

I ordered the $19 prime rib. It was scrumptious! My whole dining experience was enjoyable. Live music & they validate parking!! I highly recommend MAIE DAY!!!👌🏼

Had been seeing ads on Instagram for the Friday Prime Rib lunch at Maie Day and booked a table. The booking process for our party of 2 through Open Table was easy and there were plenty of reservation options available. When we arrived, they sat us immediately and away from the great live music in a room that had mostly larger tables (4-6 tops). We sat at a 4 top and saw another patron eating alone at a 6 top. Odd. They were not crowded at the time. The staff was a bit disorganized. Our server introduced herself and brought water, then came back soon after to apologize that we would have a different server. Quite awkward! The advertisement mentioned the prime rib would be carved and served from a mobile cart, but we didn’t get that experience. We ordered 2 prime rib meals and the sides of creamed kale and mashed potatoes. The prime rib was cooked perfectly, but our cuts were dramatically different in thickness. They did a nice job on the creamy horseradish and the ju was flavorful. We were really excited about the sides but they were over-salted and unfortunately not enjoyable. The one redeeming quality was the live music. A 2-person Grateful Dead tribute band was a very nice touch.

The solo diner you mentioned had requested that table due to his hearing, so we accommodated their request.
