What an amazing Sunday brunch at the Mahogany River Terrace. The view is elegant, the decor is beautiful and the service is wonderful. They informed us of their other specials, which we will be eager to come back and enjoy again. Chicken + Waffle and Shrimp + Grits- YUM! Thank you for a lovely Sunday funday. :)

The atmosphere was AMAZING! However, 2 lamb chops for $35 was a bit disappointing. I expected at least 3. Thank God we ordered chicken and waffles for the table…the chicken was seasoned to the bone and fried perfectly. Overall, it was great and we will be back!

Mahogany is such a beautiful restaurant. I hope that we may have came on a bad night. This was our very first time and because we heard so much wonderful things we expected proper and better service. Our waitress Bre; curly fro with glasses, did a very poor job. We understand that she was handling big parties but that was no excuse for her to just forget about us. We literally had to ask other workers for water and for napkins. We waited about 15 mins for her to greet our table when we first sat down. We felt rushed when she was taking our order. I asked her opinion on one of the entrées and she gave a very bland answer. She didn't show any effort and she had no personality and she was not so concerned about us because she was busy handling her other tables. Then we waited an hour to receive only our appetizer and then maybe another 20-30 mins for our entree only for it to not come out hot. The food was great but it could have been even more better if it was hot. We were very disappointed for our first time. We did not feel welcome at all. And for it to be automatic gratuity for just two people, was no very deserving or earned at all by our server. Service should be better than what it is for such a nice and beautiful restaurant. We plan to try again and hopefully we will have a better experience next time.

Food was not worth the price. 2 baby size lamb chops and a bowl of cold mash potatoes. My mom asked for dark meat and was given white and no excuse. I’m so disappointed with the service. Saddens me my mom didn’t enjoy her dinner. This makes the 2nd time I have been disappointed. I want you guys to be so great all around that’s why I keep trying it. Better luck next time.

Poor service, ambiance and generally a bad meal. These individuals do not know how to run a restaurant, stick to catering.

Subpar food. Not as good as the original location. Service was not good — they seem to not be adequately staffed but still charge 20% gratuity (which is also a reason why they seem to not care). Water was disgusting— tastes like it’s from a water hose. Outdoor yard sale patio furniture- comical! Interior was a nicer atmosphere though.

The ambiance was nice and our food was freshly prepared. Everything tasted delicious. The staff was kind and courteous we were a party of 5 ladies for brunch on Sunday. Very good first impression. Thanks Mahogany River Terrace.

The food was fabulous. My brioche French toast we outstanding. The rest of my party’s food was great, as well. The location is second to none in Memphis. The service was terrible. We had brunch, and I asked for an egg as a side. We asked for it 3 times and never received it, yet it was on the bill. Same with my friend’s biscuit. They ran out of creamer for our coffee and they ran out of “to go” boxes. We started out in the patio, and the wind picked up and the flimsy umbrella nearly knocked my head off. Please invest in sturdy umbrellas. Fortunately they moved us inside. Please work the kinks out. It has great potential.
