MAHANIYOM is a tapas/family-style Thai cuisine that brings an exceptional dining experience
to our guests by serving meticulously home-cooked style, authentic Thai cuisine made from
scratch and handcrafted cocktails in an unpretentious feel-like-home atmosphere that
reminisces our home Thailand. Walk-ins welcome. Reservations are available 30 days in advance. We are very small, we highly recommend reservations during peak hours! Reservations and dine-in guests are designated up to 90 minutes. If you are running late, please call us at (617) 487-5986. We hold the table up to 15 minutes past the reservation time.

Pourquoi nous l'aimons

À la fois bar à cocktails de quartier et restaurant à tapas, ce lieu en vogue de Chompon Boonnak, un ancien du Shōjō, propose certains des plats thaïlandais les plus savoureux de la ville ; le Boston Magazine l'a d'ailleurs désigné comme le meilleur restaurant thaïlandais de Boston en 2023. Il ne vaudrait mieux pas négliger les plats du menu à partager, mais le bœuf panang et le riz sauté au crabe sont incontournables. Les cocktails, comme le Sazerac au seigle infusé au thé thaï, sont tout aussi remarquables, et l'espace confortable et rustique aux murs en briques apparentes invite à prolonger l'expérience.

Great food and ambience. I will try to be back for dinner in the future. Also, super close to the green line.

Food is outstanding and service is remarkably good given how crowded it is (and on a Sunday night!). Too loud for those of us whose hearing is waning with age. May go for takeout or come earlier or for lunch.

Food was ok- I expected better. Cocktails were inventive and interesting. We ordered the morning glory, that was the best thing we had. Oysters were quite… pungent. I liked the accompanying sauces. Pad Thai was flavorless, maybe because I had to order without shrimp flakes and peanuts… but the sauce had little flavor. Tofu soup dish was just ok.

If you are into authentic Thai food, this is the place to go. Every plate was full of flavors, service was good. And it’s a very cute restaurant

Awesome food with lots of intersting items to choose from (did someone say crab fried rice and rambutan salad!). Cocktails are also outstanding, interesting flavors and expert mixologists. Highly recommend.

Mahaniyom is just a gem. The food is so fresh - made to order and delicious. Staff is always helpful in choosing dishes and pleasant to work with. Drinks are unique. Only small drawback is the earsplitting level of noise. It is a small room and always crowded - I wish they did not play loud music. Sometimes almost impossible to have a conversation without shouting. My phone alerted multiple times to noise over 100dB! The food keeps us coming back in spite of the noise.

Enjoyed the lunch with my friend at Mahaniyom. First acquaintance with Thai eggplant to dip into the mildly spicy eggplant dip with other raw veggies. We both liked the special Pad Thai and the delicious lime Thai tea. We'll be back!

The food has a variety of flavors, all interesting. The fried crab rice dish was yummy. The pork jerky also good. The restaurant was toooooo loud for us. I couldn’t hear my buddy, nor could he hear me. We were yelling. I won’t go back for that reason alone but may order food to go. Pc

Obsessed with this place, everything we tried was delicious but my favorites were the crab curry, Brussels sprouts, and espresso martini. Can’t wait to go again!

Really great food and drinks. Their Thai tea infused sazerac is my new obsession. Only reason that 4 instead of 5 stars was awarded is due to the fact that it was very loud both with regards to overhead music but also due to the size of the space, closeness of tables and thus noise from other diners.
