Magnus on Water is a cocktail bar and restaurant that features Peruvian-inspired comfort food from Chef Rafael Zimmerman. Bar Director Brian Catapang helms the Pinnacle Award winning cocktail program at Magnus, with rotating, seasonal drinks to compliment the big flavors of Raf's food. Sustainability is paramount to us, and we work with farmers & fisherman who are respectful of Mother Earth, while working diligently to minimize waste.

Our space is polished, but still intimate and cozy, and in the summer Magnus on Water has a large outdoor patio, complete with gardens and fire pits. We also have a private dining room for large parties and are available for full or partial event rentals.

                          This is our second time at Magnus and, like the first, we had a fantastic meal. The service here is great. Drinks are about the best we’ve had. Had a lot of fun at the bar talking to other diners. I highly recommend this restaurant.

                          A quality establishment with thoughtfulness and taste directed to every aspect of the dining experience. Better than most Portland restaurants. Highly recommended.

                          Another wonderful experience! It was a quiet Sunday evening and the ambiance was perfect! Cherie remembered our previous visits, that we preferred Sancerre wine, and showed us two she had chosen for us to select - we selected the 2023 DomAine de Rome and it was incredible. Of course the food was great. My wife had the Branzino and I, the ribs and beans. we shared appetizers oc Yuka fries and charred leftuce. Alk was excellent, perfectly prepared, and judicioysly seasoned with Peruvian spices. We are fortunate to ha e this gem in Biddeford, may it continue forever! Bruce A

                          lovely restaurant near the river. Tastefully decorated and nice atmosphere. the service was excellent and helpful. The food was amazing as were the specialty cocktails. Would recommend going !

                          Lovely people! Modern menu! Excellent drinks! Had food from every course including the epilogue! Loved the mini cocktails because I didn’t feel guilt having 2 or 3!

                          While the food and drinks were tasty and well prepared there were only 3 main courses chicken pork and lobster roll. They were out of the chicken though it was about 2 hrs before closing. Since we don’t eat pork and didn’t come to an innovative restaurant to get a lobster roll we decided to order 4 appetizers. But the portions were so small that we had to cap off the evening with a chicken sandwich at Wendy’s just to fill our stomachs. Similarly, while our cocktails were delicious they were so small neither of us got a buzz. So while we can’t argue with the quality, the selection and value were so poor it ruined our meal.

                          Always a very enjoyable meal. The chef is top notch, staff is efficient and always so nice, and cocktails are excellent.
