Lovely all around, the cherished decor remains with a buff, the filet mignons were perfectly prepared and delicious, the lobster mac and cheese was the best we’ve had. Cocktails were so well done, and we could hear one another in a lovely calm atmosphere. Worth every penny snd we will continue to make the Magic Lamp our special occasion restaurant. The service was top notch as always.

Great dining experience from start to finish. It was very clean and elegant looking. Our server Lynn was very attentive & friendly! The chef came out to meet us-nice touch. We had steaks and sea bass. It was all delicious. Loved the cheese bread too. We will absolutely be back!

The overall experience was fair. They were clearly understaffed for a Saturday evening and the service showed. My scallops were delicious but the salmon was a little dry. Probably won’t dine there again.

They have a lot of work to do… they get a mulligan for the reopen… but service and food were no where near par with the price.

The new interior was very nice. The menu was a back lit, and very easy to read without glasses.

Everything was terrible. From the time we sat down it took forever to be greeted and get a drink. The waitress didnt come back for a long time again to take another drink order and starter order. We were there for 2 hours before they took our food order. Spoke with GM and got excuses. Food came out and was barely warm and our bill was $252. So much needs improvement before they do their hard opening but we will not be back to see if they achieve it

The Magic Lamp Inn is like no other restaurant you have ever been to. You just have to go to see it for yourself. There is a Magic Lamp Garden that is going to be a popular destination for all of us that like the music from the 40's and 50's. The staff is friendly and eager to show you around.
Reservations are required for dining. The bar is open on a walk in basis.

Beautiful ambience; very attentive server (Kaley); well presented cuisine; the whole experience made my daughter’s birthday celebration very memorable. We hope to return again soon

The reopening of one of my favorite dinner restaurants was exciting for us to attend. We were surprised by the menu pricing and selections. It was set up like a Ruth Chris or a Morton's style steak house. The service was a little slow, but that's to be expected when a restaurant just opens.
The shrimp cocktail was on point and the Caesar salad was ok. The salad had too little dressing and I think our waiter forgot my immediate request for additional dressing. The croutons were like those from a box at the supermarket. I ordered the prime rib special at $78. I ordered it cooked medium, but it came closer to well done. It was served with creamed corn and spinach, no potato. The waiter did not check on us after our dinner arrived until we were about 2/3 the way through. Since my wife's filet was fine other than her potatoes were under cooked, I chose to not send mine back, so as not to disrupt the timing of our meal. When I received the check, I was already a little upset about the pricing vs quality, but when I saw that my jack and coke cocktail was $14 (ok, I guess) but they added an additional .50 cents for the coke in the cocktail. That was a first for me. The last little disappointment was they did not have their famous cheese bread. They are apparently trying to recover the recipe from the previous owner? Sorry, but it was disappointing for us.
