They were out of two cuts of steak but they made up for it by comping my meal which was a surf and turf design with a filet at the center. Desert was delicious.

Old time steak house that doesn't disappoint. Food was delicious and service was excellent. Atmosphere was great. Glad to see an iconic restaurant back in business. They added an outdoor patio space has to be seen to be believed. The manager gave us a tour and said that they will serve a bar menu with small bites and hamburgers.

Our family has been dining at the Magic Lamp for over 50 yrs. It is now overpriced, small portions of not well-prepared food. Beautiful place to eat and entertain but the food was cold and the service was not good. Sadly, we won't be going back.

What a HUGE disappointment. From the moment we walked in the doors at 5pm, even though we had reservations we were treated like secondhand citizens and it was embarrassing. My 84 year old father who was wearing his veteran’s hat was told to remove it, fine, he did. My husbands Henley shirt was not to their liking and he was told to cross his arms to cover the Porsche on it. We were then seated in a corner next to the kitchen. I order the Bone in Rib Eye for $78.00, but it wasn’t one. It was a cheap cut of something else. I told our waitress about five different times that it was not a bone in ribeye so she finally she said do you want to send it back, which by that time everybody else had finished their food. We also let our waitress know that my father and I both have diabetes and can’t have potatoes, they said there are no substitutions and still brought potatoes on both plates. My husband’s prime rib was supposed to come with creamed corn and creamed spinach but neither were creamed. The spinach was just plain spinach with garlic and the corn was just plain corn. Overall, it was a horrible experience and not worth the cost at all. The only thing worth while was the fact that it still has its original decor and music. Sad as this was a celebration for my father’s 84th Birthday. We use to enjoy coming here, back to the Derby in Arcadia.

Honestly whole experience was bad luckily a waiter from another section came to help us. He was amazing, but everything from the hostess to the food was not great.

Overall we had a great experience at the Magic Lamp. It was our first time here and it definitely looks and feels like a high-end restaurant. Foremost, the service we received was outstanding. Our server was very attentive from the start to the end. When we were first seated he came out carrying a serving tray with a load of plates to drop off at the adjacent table, and he assured us he would be with us momentarily. He came at all the right times to check in with us and see if we enjoyed our drinks, appetizer, and entrees without being intrusive. Additionally, there were a number of times during the night that he was passing by with drinks or plates to deliver to other tables, and every time he made an effort to look over at us as he passed and either ask us if everything was to our liking or give a thumbs up to ensure we were good. The service he provided was top notch and exactly the kind of professionalism we would expect from a high-end restaurant. The food was good, we ordered the tuna tower to start and we liked the flavor of the sauce they used on it. I had the ribeye medium rare which came out closer to medium and had pretty good flavor, but I feel it could have been a little better. My girlfriend had the airline chicken which was good, but the mashed potatoes were sweet, which she did not expect or particularly enjoy, and the broccolini was a bit undercooked. We also had the lobster Mac and cheese which was really good. The drinks took a bit of time to come out, but they were very good. We had the cadillac margarita and the golden hour which tasted like they were made with fresh ingredients as they’re meant to be. We really enjoyed the ambience and the experience. The service truly made up for any shortcomings and was the highlight of the evening. Thank you very much Alfonso and Magic Lamp for a great experience.

Lovely all around, the cherished decor remains with a buff, the filet mignons were perfectly prepared and delicious, the lobster mac and cheese was the best we’ve had. Cocktails were so well done, and we could hear one another in a lovely calm atmosphere. Worth every penny snd we will continue to make the Magic Lamp our special occasion restaurant. The service was top notch as always.

Great dining experience from start to finish. It was very clean and elegant looking. Our server Lynn was very attentive & friendly! The chef came out to meet us-nice touch. We had steaks and sea bass. It was all delicious. Loved the cheese bread too. We will absolutely be back!

The overall experience was fair. They were clearly understaffed for a Saturday evening and the service showed. My scallops were delicious but the salmon was a little dry. Probably won’t dine there again.

They have a lot of work to do… they get a mulligan for the reopen… but service and food were no where near par with the price.
