Welcome to Madre Osteria & Bar! Located in Milton, MA on the ground level of Milton Landing overlooking the Neponset River. Offering a modern approach to classic, rustic Italian cuisine created by Chef Sam Curtis. Think house-made Foccacia and specialty grande meatballs. Entrees include Truffle Risotto, Braised Short Rib, and Wild Boar Ragú. In addition to Italian and seafood dishes, we also offer gluten-free and vegetarian options.

The interior design of Madre is both elegant and casual. We offer a full bar and wine list. Seating options include tables, high tops, a bar, and a beautiful outdoor patio.

We are right down the road from our sister restaurants Lower Mills Tavern and Yellow Door Taqueria in Dorchester - perfect spots to grab a drink before or after your reservation!

A handful of other places nearby include the Forbes House Museum, Boston Medical Center, Carney Hospital, Dorchester Park, Lower Neponset River Trail, and more!

My husband and I went to Madre Osteria for our 46th anniversary. We had our choice of seating out in the beautiful patio. There are hanging and potted flowers and a view of the Neponset River with both tables with umbrellas as well as seating along the perimeter. The servers were all so warm and welcoming and wished us a Happy Anniversary. For cocktails I had an Aperol Spritz which was yummy and my husband had a Peroni beer. The food was excellent. For an appetizer we shared grilled polenta and goat cheese which was delicious. For our entree's I had steak with fingerling potatoes and broccoli rabe and my husband had the wild boar ragu with pasta. We had a great cabernet with our meal. We couldn't leave without dessert and so had the Tiramisu which was outstanding. We will definitely go back to Madre's and not just for a special occasion.

Beautiful place , the food was good , delicate flavors and good portions. We started with the mussels and harvest salad. Then ragú pappardelle and spaghetti bolognese both were delicious. Service was awful . Our young waitress only checked on us once and we had to get someone else to get us check after waiting for a long time . We didn’t get to order dessert because we got tired of waiting for her to come back .

A lot of variability when I compared reviews after we had dinner. One major commonality was that the negative reviews all said that the food was very bland and we cannot agree more. Crispy potato app was good Mussels were okay Pasta special of butternut squash, goat cheese and shrimp had no flavor Carbonara was tasteless and barely resembled the real thing.

Service and food were top notch. The polenta and bolognese were especially fabulous. Bartenders were great and the specialty cocktails were on point! Can’t wait to return.

Wonderful service and delicious food. We visited on a Sunday around opening time and had a wonderful time.

We had a wonderful Sunday Brunch there yesterday. Everything we ordered was fantastic! Fresh, tasty and plenty. Drinks were also very good. Our server Jack was very nice, a friendly young man, attentive and on point with everything. He did a great job making our drinks, he told us he normally doesn't make drinks, so we just wanted to praise him for that. As always great food, drinks and excellent service all around at this restaurant. Thank you for making our experience pleasant and memorable.

We had an early dinner, sat on the patio. Our server was excellent. The food was creative. No complaints ! We would go again and eat on the patio.
