Please note our Afternoon Tea is served Wednesday - Sunday from 13:00 - 16:30 and we ask you to pre-book to avoid disappointment.

Madeleine follows the tradition of grand hotels with luxurious cocktail bars: its double-height windows, sparkling chandeliers, and rich soft furnishings make it at once super-glamorous and utterly enticing.

We think that once you are sat at your table, sipping a cocktail or a glass of Champagne, you won’t want to leave – and who can blame you? We welcome you to enjoy some light French inspired snacks whilst with us, or why not indulge fully in our impressive Afternoon Tea, handcrafted by Head Pastry Chef, Roger Lomas, and his innovative team.

Our hope is to establish Madeleine as somewhere that’s exclusively for everyone, a glamorous setting that’s perfect for special occasions, celebrations, and treats but equally somewhere you can drop by on the spur of the moment (subject to availability, of course).

Great afternoon tea for vegan and gluten free. The menu was great, and really clear about if you wanted to swap anything out or have more of one option. We chose the afternoon tea standard with unlimited teas, but no fizz. Great value and amazing service!

We didn’t have food just drinks. Decor is gorgeous, staff attentive and facilities super clean and posh. Would absolutely recommend for drinks and just chatting and people watching.

The server was good, however the device was very slow and the beer was very limited. The only thing on the menu my dad would drink was Guinness and it wasn’t available. Some people had olives some didn’t wasn’t very fair. Also no music so no atmosphere

We were greeted by the doorman on entering, we went into the bar and greeted well, we were early for our reservation so we sat in the bar and had a drink. The waiter was efficient, pleasant, courteous and professional. We were taken through to our table, our waitress arrived greeted us and explained the afternoon tea menu clearly and politely, she was friendly and professional. The food was excuisite, delicious and plenty of it. The tea selection was more than adequate. We went for Father’s Day and it was fabulous, we will be returning

A perfect place to celebrate my niece’s 7th birthday. The children’s afternoon tea was the right amount of new tastes and textures for her and it looked too good to eat. The ‘grown ups’ afternoon tea was delicious and again, looked too good to eat. A big pot of tea washed it all down. We particularly loved the crockery. Just wonderful.

Overall good was good. However a few things on the service could be improved we asked for water which never came and had to then ask another waitress. Soup had spilt on the table (which the waitress saw) we again had to ask someone to clean the table. The main thing which let the experience down was; we had come for a birthday a twice (over the phone and through email) I had asked for something to be bought out for the bday girl, the venue said they would organise a small bday treat but nothing was bought out.

We enjoyed the afternoon tea food. The menu was explained which was helpful. When we did the booking, we had shared that we were celebrating a very special wedding anniversary. No mention was made of this.

Very poor value for money, service appalling we had to ask twice for everything. Dirty cutlery, no serving spoons for jam & cream and miserable staff including a girl behind the bar who was downright rude.
