The Cavallino Family welcomes you to experience their newest addition to their family of restaurants, "Made in Italy Trattoria". Our family has been in the restaurant business spanning decades and numerous generations. More recently, the Cavallino's are the former owners of "Enzo & Lucia's" in Long Grove, IL. As our family continues to grow and expand into new suburbs, so does our network of family restaurants.

"Made in Italy Trattoria" is located in Glen Ellyn, IL. Our Italian style restaurant provides a romantic and quaint atmosphere while offering a menu made of authentic Italian family recipes prepared by actual Italians. We invite you to come and experience great Italian food which our family has perfected through decades of experience.

If you are interested in our catering, we have catering menus available in the restaurant. Any and all of the dishes that we serve are available for catering upon request even though they may not all be listed in detail on our catering menu. If you are planning on placing a catering order, please call no later than two days before pickup date. We are able to cater some of our daily specials as well, if you are interested in catering a specific special that we carry, please call for availability of that item for they are subject to change frequently. We are more than happy to accommodate catering order of any kind.

AS LIFE BECOMES MORE EXPENSIVE, THE ONLY COURSE OF ACTION WE CAN TAKE AT TIMES IS TO DO LESS OF WHAT WE LOVE, LIKE SPENDING A NICE EVENING WITH OUR S.O. "DATE NIGHT" AT ANY NICE RESTAURANT CAN COST BETWEEN $150-$250 FOR TWO PEOPLE WHEN ORDERING APPS, BOTTLE WINE, TWO ENTREES AND A DESSERT. THATS HARD TO AFFORD EVERY WEEK! NOT ANYMORE! Menu items were excellent in flavor and ingredients and they’re not your typical dishes served in most other Italian restaurants.

Restaurant is a small quaint neighborhood restaurant. Reservation was at 6:30 and we were seated promptly. Restaurant was busy. We were attended to quickly for drink order. We ordered the Woodford Manhattan chilled straight up. Unfortunately the bartender did not make it correctly. It was shaken not stirred which caused it to have a frothy layer and some ice in the glass. This is not the proper way. Considered sending it back but decided not to as I think the experience level of bartender is just not there. Next drink was the Old Fashion and it was just OK. Both drinks on their cocktail menu so you would think they would be made well. Next time I will just order wine as I don’t think they are set up for cocktails which is ok. We ordered the Calamari and Bruccheta for appetizers. They were average, nothing special. The dinner comes with a house salad and they have elevated the salad to hearty greens vs iceberg which they had several years ago so nice addition. I had the short rib large ravioli dish and it was outstanding! Best I’ve ever had. I will be back just for that dish. Others had clam linguini, chicken Parmesan and chicken vesuvio and all said it was delicious. We did not order desert. Overall I enjoyed the experience and will be back. They did not rush us so for us that was perfect. Happy to see the restaurant continues to improve and hope they continue to thrive.

Very good food but very pricey for Italian. You do get lots of food & very well done by the kitchen! Service was slow but they were great!

Made in Italy is consistently excellent. It's a small, neighborhhod place and they treat you like family. The servings are generous and always piping hot. Nice selection of food and wines.

The braised beef ravioli is incredible. Everything tastes fresh and authentic. Good wine selection and homemade desserts. It’s small and quaint.

I loved the friendly environment of dinner room; starting with a nice warm bread with olive oil an excellent octopus for appetizer. Entree were delicious. Great service attention

Once again, our experience at Made In Italy was exceptional. It was New Years Eve and we were greeted by Lucia and she was so wonderful to is. She made sure we had the right sized table and had the waitress start taking drink orders right away. We weren’t rushed at all. The service was great and the food was excellent. Thanks for great hospitality!!
