The Parlour Tea Room at Mad Dogs and Englishmen provides a vintage setting to enjoy Afternoon tea. We’ve become renowned for our themed teas which offer an unforgettable experience. Enjoy the eclectic surroundings of this unique venue.
The Botanical Rooms is upstairs and hosts our cocktail bar. Here you can experience Afternoon Tea from Wednesday to Sunday during the day and enjoy the fairy-lit bar on Friday and Saturday evenings. We host live Jazz and soul on some evenings.
The Piano Lounge with it's vintage leather sofas and a mixture of eclectic styled furnishings is situated on the ground floor alongside our Whisky Bar. You can enjoy an Afternoon Tea with Piano accompaniment on Sunday afternoons or sample some of our extensive Whisky cocktails on Friday and Saturday evenings. We have live Jazz performances on selected evenings.

We visited when the nutcracker theme was on. There was lovely attention to detail and the staff were amazingly helpful. We had accessibility needs and they catered for these too. The food was lovely, some warm savouries which is a bonus in an afternoon tea. All foods and allergies explained (phone first to ask about accommodating them) We had a beautiful ‘doggy bag’ to carry the leftover cakes in and this meant we didn’t feel we were wasting anything. A lovely experience and nice to know each theme do different foods, so that a return visit will always provide a nice variety. Overall excellent

Wow what an experience although the initial cost seemed alot for afternoon tea the whole experience is worth every penny

Such a lovely experience. We had a fabulous afternoon celebrating a birthday. The food was delicious and plenty of it. All beautifully presented - so much attention to detail. We will definitely be back!

Who doesn't like an afternoon tea, my friend, and I certainly do Mad Dogs and Englishmen always do the themes brilliantly. The food, the decor, and the service are always excellent

This is my third visit unfortunately this was the most disappointing. Staff seemed rushed dropping food on floor breaking things on a neighbouring table. Waited 20mins for our coffee and tea. Food was brought randomly. Waitress spoke so fast about what we was eating my friend was vegetarian so I had to ask 3 times what she was saying. I had to ask for cutlery and a plate. Our wine was nearly taken away before we finished. We were rushed to finish. We knew we could sit downstairs but nobody suggested this. We said thank you and goodbye to staff discussing something and completely ignoring us. To me somebody is getting a little greedy with booking and employing in experienced staff is was like watching agency staff. I will not be coming back or recommending MD . Shame .

Not just any Afternoon Tea, Mad Dogs do it with style! The attention to detail is just wonderful, and each time I go, I love it more and more. It makes a change to get an experience at this level outside of London, with the moment you step into the building to the time you leave, you feel transported into a different world. Congratulations to the team for another successful and most enjoyable afternoon.

Usually we are in the other section of the building but this time we were right next to the bar. So was very noisy woth cocktail shakers and blenders going off. Otherwise decor and food were lovely as usual.
