Award Winning Hale Aina Best Italian Restaurant 2023. From Spaghetti and Meatballs to Chicken Parm, the Red Sauce joint serves classic Italian-American comfort food craved by many on the East Coast. Driven by the desire to bring that flavor to Hawaii, we sourced the best ingredients and make all our pasta in-house. Why? because you deserve better. No compromises. We made a reservation, but got there about half an hour early and they were able to take us in right away. The food and drinks were delicious and our server was very kind and sincerely apologized that they were out of Tiramisu. We will definitely be going back again.

Overall, it was a great experience. The food was delicious and easy to share. I recommend the hot honey pizza, even though it sounds weird. The drinks were fantastic! The Queen Bee was so yummy. Great for large parties. We'll come again.

Hot Honey Pizza was excellent! A must try! Sweet and a little spicy, crust is a little crunchy, but chewy.. will definitely order this again. I also ordered the Tartufo Al Tagliatelle.. a bit earthy tasting for me. A mixture of mushrooms with a garlic cream sauce over pasta. Sauce was a bit bland. Would’ve been nice to have a spoonful or two of Parmesan cheese to top pasta. However, they didn’t offer it. I would definitely go back. This time I would only order pizza and salad.

Service was slow and never came by to check on us or refill our water and drinks.

Another satisfying Mad Benne experience! The food and drinks are always consistent, high quality, and delicious! Our servers, Anela and Aliyah provided outstanding professional kamaʻāina customer service! The entire Mad Benne team made us feel welcomed and comfortable, like ʻohana from greeting us, showing us to our table, and taking care of us throughout our dining experience! Timing of the food could have been better half the meals were hot and half were not. So half the meals were sitting on the counter while waiting for the others. Love the idea of it being fresh pastas and pizza which is always a challenges with timing. With that being said I would let guests know and it be more family style sharing..plates will come out as they are made HOT and continue to come out.

Sat at the bar. Dina the bartender was great. Excellent mixologist and wine pourer. Great conversation. We had supreme pizza as appy, took half home. Had two pasta dishes that were outstanding. Was our 27th wedding anniversary, but they were out of dessert so the bartender gave us a prosecco and amaro at the end of our meal.

Was running a few minutes late so I called and they pushed our reservation back 15 mins. Once we go there the waitress stated they were shorthanded and wanted us to know up front in case it took longer than normal. Still got our drinks, meal and salad in good time. Will be back.

Took order but first food came in like 30-40min. I asked the server where is our foods then 10min came one. I believe they forgot. But never apology or anything. Food was good but poor customer service. I don’t repeat nor recommend this place
