In the heart of Marietta Square, Mac's Chophouse is a modern-vintage revival of the classic American steakhouse. Hostess very concerned with dress code. We were business casual. Once seated, tables filled up with jeans and sneakers. Not sure what that was about. Food was very salty from rib tips to black grouper. Big price tag, big disappointment.

This place never ceases to amaze me with it's quality and consistency. the crafted cocktails are to die for. The filet is cooked to perfection, EVERY time I frequent Macs. It is run like a finely oiled machine. Inviting form the time you walk through the door. Service is top notch, never needing or wanting for anything. They're always on top of it. I can't recommend this place enough. From a causal night out, to any special occasion.

Our dinner was a birthday celebration. The staff mentioned the birthday at the beginning and treated us well during service. We even received an extra dessert!

Make sure to ask for vegan options. There are some things that are not on the menu, including a vegetable stirfry, and other things that are on the bar menu or the seafood and market menu.
