In the heart of Marietta Square, Mac's Chophouse is a modern-vintage revival of the classic American steakhouse. This was our first trip to Mac's Chophouse and overall the service from Sergio was great and we really enjoyed it. However, the hostess really offended me when she asked if our party was there and I told her 3 of us arrived and waiting on my husband to park. Dinner attire suggested is business casual and there were some people there that I considered underdressed. However, she said "would you like to be seated or should we wait to make sure that my husband was appropriately attired" Unbelievable - we were all dressed nicely (even dressy) and I told her rather quickly that he was dressed much better than most I saw waiting. This really set up my birthday dinner with a bad experience and I am unsure why she made such a presumption. We dine regularly in some of the finest restaurants in Atlanta and this has never happened. I am grateful that Sergio and the rest of the staff we dealt with were warm and professional. When I have a $500 dinner I expect more professionalism from the hostess.

We had a wonderful meal at Mac’s! We were seated upstairs near the window overlooking the Marietta Square. We started with a beef Wellington appetizer, which was absolutely delicious. I had a perfectly cooked filet mignon, mashed potatoes and asparagus cooked to perfection. My husband had the trout, and he loved it. We highly recommend the Mac’s private label Pinot Noir, which was rich, smooth and velvety. We ended the meal with a complementary anniversary brownie topped with gelato and strawberries, and drizzled with chocolate and caramel. Our server David was wonderful! Highly recommend Mac’s for a wonderful experience.

We had an amazing dinner at Mac’s! We were celebrating our 2 year wedding anniversary and we were treated! We were welcomed with a glass of champagne and ended the night with a delicious dessert. The service was impeccable and we’d highly recommend Mac’s for a delicious steak!
