In the heart of Marietta Square, Mac's Chophouse is a modern-vintage revival of the classic American steakhouse. Excellent Sunday brunch. David’s service was great despite the kitchen forgetting to send several items to the table.

Supposed to be fine dining with a dress code! Service was bad from the time we walked in. No sign of a Hostess. We had reservations, followed the sign directions to the upstairs. We were ignored for what felt like an eternity, but was probably only a minute before I had to interrupt servers studying the table seating info intently. I was asked if we saw the Hostess downstairs, and told her she was absent so we followed the sign. She apologized and said she would get our table ready , and please have a glass of wine on us at the bar. We studied the wine menu and while we were doing that the bartender asked if we were dining at the bar or waiting for a table. Told her we were waiting for a table. She never came back for our wine order. Waitress came shortly after to take us to our table which was a tall round table right next to the bar. Not what I would consider fine dining. The table was very small. Never could figure out were to set the menu down. Had to set it on the bar next to me. We both ordered the Prime Cut Delmonico steak. It had so much fat. Tasted delicious but I was constantly getting a big piece of fat. I am guessing half of the 16oz cut was fat. We did have a very good bottle of wine, desert and coffee.

We enjoyed our lunch at Mac’s. The group sandwich was delicious. Our server was very professional and did great job providing everything we needed for our large party. She brought everything out promptly and was courteous.

Food was excellent but for a restaurant that costs that much the service was very poor. Started with having to wait 5 min for them to find menus. Then we were constantly trying to flag our waitress down for drinks, refills, the check, etc. Our reservation was for 7 and we got our food about 815. Really?? They also forgot to deliver one the items we ordered. The excuse was “we’re busy.” If the food wasn’t good I would give this an overall poor experience.

We keep coming back due to the incredible food quality, and fantastic customer service! It’s a great atmosphere, we have never had a bad server, and the Steak is a unique experience in Atlanta. There are several great steak houses in Atlanta, Mac’s however, has become my favorite.

My husband and I come quite often to Macs. It has become like a family. The food and the specialty drinks are amazing. It honestly never disappoints!!

Such great service. Food was amazing. They made me feel so special for just having passed the bar!! The champagne was amazing, and the free dessert was such a sweet treat on top of the amazing service and food. Loved our server — she was a doll!!

MAC’s never fails to deliver. Carson did an amazing job as our waiter and it was great seeing all of the staff working together. The food was delicious. We had beef Wellington and blackened shrimp as appetizers and they nailed it. Entrees included barrel filet, petite filet, delmonico ribeye, and sea bass. All were outstanding. The bartender made some fantastic drinks. Love this place and their team.
