Macon Bistro & Larder is a locally owned neighborhood restaurant serving re-invented bistro cuisine in a warm, friendly atmosphere. Tony Brown, inspired by his southern roots and his world travels, brings together the cooking styles of Macon, Georgia, and Macon, France. We have recently opened The Magnolia Room at Macon to accommodate more diners during dinner time. The Magnolia Room at Macon is located down the hall from Macon in the Chevy Chase Arcade on the left hand side and affords guests a more intimate and spacious dining experience. Depending on volume during peak dining times, your reservation may be seated in The Magnolia Room, offers the same great food and service.

We did not dine because the restaurant was closed for lunch and didn’t notify us or open table about it. Even though we clearly had a reservation.

Great meal all around. Waiter was super friendly and the food was delicious. Shrimp ‘n grits was a delicious cross cultural mash up

Charming space to be in, charming servers, delicious burger and at a great value, as it was 1/2 price burger Monday. We all enjoyed ourselves immensely! Highly recommend :) (I meant to tap 5 stars at the beginning of this review!!! Couldn’t fig out how to correct)

Table we were sat in got bumped by the waiters numerous times. Biscuits were yummy again. Burger was good but they mixed up the rare and medium burgers with wrong sides. Wasn’t their smoothest service night. But still yummy.

The restaurant was closed. The person outside said they didn’t open every day. I didn’t want to give a bad review because we didn’t have the food. But I rely on this app to schedule business lunches. Luckily there was another restaurant within a block. But they confirmed my reservation the day before and sent a reminder the morning of. Feels like someone should have called me to let me know they wouldn’t be open. I met my client to learn they were closed.

The biscuits were divine. My short rib was also totally delish. We ended the night with the profiteroles- so yummy!
