Food Network Iron Chef and James Beard winner Michael Symon brings his beloved Cleveland barbeque restaurant, Mabel's BBQ to Palms Casino Resort. Offering a Las Vegas inflection to the classic American culinary tradition, Mabel’s BBQ showcases classic barbeque staples, blended with Symon’s interpretation of the diverse flavors and cuisines from around the world that make up Vegas’ vibrant city. By incorporating Bertman’s Ballpark Mustard into the barbecue sauce, using Eastern European spices and smoking meat over local fruitwood, Symon has created a barbecue style he can call his own. The space’s arched ceilings, ornate lighting and exposed brick create and inviting & laid-back atmosphere. Friends can kick back and watch the big game while feasting on brisket, pork ribs, wings and loads of pig parts complimented by comfort food sides.

The chairs and bench were very hard to sit on. The brisket was very fatty and red, not very good. Our waitress was excellent and had just started working there two weeks ago. Probably will not eat there again. Sure could use bleu cheese dressing too!

I ordered a combo but everything was over spiced. Heavy on the pepper What are they trying to to cover up? The meat quality was terrible. Lot of fat and grizzle. For an expensive meal, I’d expect better quality.

I think we were expecting much more. You think of Chef Symon and the culinary bar is high. All you can eat Meats gives you too much food ... you can’t try anything else if unless you want to waste food. Sides were hit and miss ... meats were good, but not great. Underwhelming.

The food tastes pretty good, but is frankly WAY overpriced, even considering it’s in a casino. This is the first BBQ place I have ever been to that doesn’t offer a combo plate type meal. Everything is ala carte, but not really big enough to share, unless you only want 2 bites of each thing. The seats are flat wood, with no cushion. Quite uncomfortable after 15 minutes. The bread pudding dessert was terrible. Honestly the worst bread pudding I’ve ever tasted. I ordered a mocktail of a Mule, but honestly it just tasted like pink lemonade. Considering the base was ginger beer and cranberry, I really wondered if I got the wrong beverage served to me. Considering the draw is this is an Iron Chef restaurant, I was VERY disappointed, and won’t be back.

This restaurant was on my bucket list and it didn't disappoint! It was soooooo yummy!!!!! The only thing that could have topped it for me was meeting chef Symon then I would have had two things to check off my bucket list!!!!
