Food is excellent but service was bad. Our server never came back to our table to refill drinks, we had to get another server.

We ordered a combination platter of brisket, pulled pork, pork ribs, coleslaw and beans. The beans and ribs stole the show. Both were delicious and we'd order them again. The pulled pork was fairly flavorless unless we added sauce (both sauces served along with the food are excellent). The brisket was a huge disappointment. It had huge veins of fat in every piece, and I'd guess at least half the portion was fat. The meat itself was dry and flavorless. Service was excellent, and the atmosphere was fun. We'll be back, but now that we know we'll order differently.

I have eaten there about a dozen times. It was great in the beginning. My last visit I learned that they cut some of my personal favorite dishes. Even though I still thought ok bbq is usually good. I was wrong the pork ribs were over cooked and had a strange taste. They used to have a variety of sauces but all I was offered was 1 KC. Coleslaw I have had better. The beans were just ok. My wife had a burger ( she is a burger fanatic BTW) my son was telling her about it for a long time. She tried it and it was nothing special. Service was the same no problem with that. I used to tell all my friends to go try them. Not anymore. But I will probably not be going back. I can spend my money somewhere else. Sorry Mabel’s but I believe that you have lost a customer.

We loved Mabel’s! Everyone told us to check it out. There was a reason! The meat was so tender and so good, it was like falling off the bone. Great flavor and the sauce only made it better. Our server recommended the family style triple play and we added the coleslaw and fries. Perfect for the two of us and we left full and happy. Our server was great, she did a good job. Thanks for hosting us. We will be back next time we are in Vegas.
