I used to dine many years ago at Maison Robert, and now to have found Ma Maison is one of those joys a person has in life. Perfect food.

I come here a lot because 9 times out of 10 the food is delicious. But l had lamb chops last night and was underwhelmed. They had a sauce on them which didn’t really work in my opinion. But the beets salad was wonderful and so was the apple tart in.

I rarely write reviews but felt the need to after our dinner this past weekend. My wife and I just recently moved to the area and I saw the menu of this gem online after searching for a good French restaurant. What a find!! A great lively brasserie vibe, our server was efficient, friendly and fun! The food was outstanding, the foie gras was two very large pieces (we did get the 4oz, but looked like more), my wife got the daily special of Beef Wellington which was so large she took half home, she said it was fantastic. I had the veal chop, cooked perfectly with a fantastic mushroom cream sauce. We had a very reasonably priced Bordeaux, and for dessert an old school classic Strawberry Baked Alaska with a couple sweet liquor shots to pair with it. I can’t wait to go back again to try the sweetbreads special during the week. Overall a great experience, and on top of it, a VERY reasonable price, especially for Boston!

Consistently excellent food with varied menu and nice beverages. Service is friendly and knowledgeable. Great local place!

Except for the loud conversational noise which made it very difficult to hear, even just across the table, everything else was excellent; the food AND the service were outstanding. The food was just what you'd hope for in a first-class French bistro - prepared perfectly, generous portions, and no fancified, faux-French, unnecessary 'sophistications'. Will be happy to return and to recommend Ma Maison to our friends. Menu Hits: The onion soup The escargots: just like in Paris (but may be a bit too garlicky for some) The duck a l'orange: cooked for me medium rare (just as I requested) with an excellent sauce The chicken legs coq au vin: falling-off-the bone tender and delicious The house Sancerre ( carafe)

It’s difficult for a restaurant to exceed expectations but Ma Maison did. The special souffle and scallops entrees were delicious. Plus the giant profiterole (shared) was scrumptious. Add to that excellent service and reasonable prices! We will be back.
