I recently visited this new location and had a great experience! The flavors were incredibly vibrant, with each dish offering a perfect balance of spices, herbs, and freshness. From the hummus to the grilled lamb and perfectly charred vegetables, every bite was a treat for the taste buds. The restaurant offers a lovely ambiance with attention to detail, but the menu is quite overpriced for what’s served. For example, four small lamb chops for $75 feels excessive. We also ordered the lobster pasta (109$), and if a dish is advertised as containing a whole lobster, it would enhance the experience to present it table side before plating, rather than just having it mixed into the dish. Additionally, the busser kept clearing plates immediately after we finished, which made the experience feel rushed. Overall, while there’s clear effort in the presentation, the portions and service timing didn’t fully meet expectations given the price. Our waiter was not only friendly but also very knowledgeable about the menu, offering great recommendations and making us feel very welcome throughout the meal. It’s rare to find such attentive and personable service these days, and it really elevated the experience. Another downside was that my visit happened to coincide with my best friend’s birthday, and while the meal was wonderful, there was no mention or acknowledgment of the occasion. A little touch, like a birthday dessert or a simple greeting, would have made the celebration even more special. Despite this, the overall experience was memorable, and I’ll definitely be back for more.

This was our second time at Lyla and we enjoyed every bit as much as we did the first time. The absolute outstanding feature is the sevice. The moment you are greeted you can tell the entire staff is trained to make it a perfect experience for the diners. Once again I have to say the buratta was excellent as was the fish. We loved everything we ate and looking forward to going back. Lyla is a must try!

The food was excellent. They did mess up a pretty standard cocktail though, an Old Fashioned, and charged 34 bucks for it. They even redit but just couldn’t get it right. I think if you’re gonna charge so much for cocktails it really needs to be spot on, especially a classic cocktail. They gave us a delicious dessert for free though which I appreciated!

I had a great experience at Lyla! The ambiance, food and drinks were all fantastic. Our waiter was also lovely, as was the whole staff. I will definitely be recommending this spot.

The service and ambience could not have been better. The team did a fabulous job with all the details, down to the last. The drinks and oysters were incredible, and when they accidentally gave brought us one less than we ordered, they immediately rectified it. I truly appreciated the experience!

Lovely ambience. Very friendly & efficient service. Owners are present & welcoming. Menus is Mediterranean with a nice twist & the food is delicious. Highly recommend ed & I can’t wait to go back.

An exceptional evening was had by all! Both the food and service was 10 stars (out of 5). Walking into the restaurant you’re hit with class. Just can’t get over how elegant their space is. It doesn’t stop at the decore. Lyla’s food is sublime! We started with pita and hummus, crispy cauliflower and tuna crudo. All of the above was a symphony of flavours in our mouths. Wasn’t sure how the mains could possibly top what we started with. Then we were proven wrong. They most definitely did!!! We ordered the butternut squash and rigatoni pasta dishes. Melted in our mouths. Seriously the best we’ve ever tasted. We also ordered the classic strip loin. Nothing boring about this. Cooked perfectly, and the seasoning, bar none, best in the city. We ended off with their signature mouth watering chocolate mousse, and cheesecake. Actually to be more precise, their basque chantilly crème cherries salted caramel cheesecake. Both to die for!!! Our only issue was not being able to order more from the menu. If the dishes we ordered were that good, can only imagine how the rest of the menu would taste. Need to go back to try more!! Shoutout to our server Leah. She made our evening complete. Thank you Lyla for a fabulous evening.

Went to Lyla for lunch yesterday and was extremely disappointed. The space is lovely and so was the service but the food lacked flavour and execution. We got the tuna crisp which smelled and tasted fishy with way too much of the pesto sauce and fried chips that hid the taste of the fish ( had to send this dish back) Ordered the autumn salad which was good but not spectacular. The short ribs were terrible, all I could see and taste was fat which hadn’t been rendered at all so lumps of inedible fat and no meat ( had tos end this dish back too) The squash ravioli was decent but not soft enough or flavourful enough. Broccolini was decent. Overall won’t be coming back, save your money and go elsewhere
