The service and ambience could not have been better. The team did a fabulous job with all the details, down to the last. The drinks and oysters were incredible, and when they accidentally gave brought us one less than we ordered, they immediately rectified it. I truly appreciated the experience!

Lovely ambience. Very friendly & efficient service. Owners are present & welcoming. Menus is Mediterranean with a nice twist & the food is delicious. Highly recommend ed & I can’t wait to go back.

An exceptional evening was had by all! Both the food and service was 10 stars (out of 5). Walking into the restaurant you’re hit with class. Just can’t get over how elegant their space is. It doesn’t stop at the decore. Lyla’s food is sublime! We started with pita and hummus, crispy cauliflower and tuna crudo. All of the above was a symphony of flavours in our mouths. Wasn’t sure how the mains could possibly top what we started with. Then we were proven wrong. They most definitely did!!! We ordered the butternut squash and rigatoni pasta dishes. Melted in our mouths. Seriously the best we’ve ever tasted. We also ordered the classic strip loin. Nothing boring about this. Cooked perfectly, and the seasoning, bar none, best in the city. We ended off with their signature mouth watering chocolate mousse, and cheesecake. Actually to be more precise, their basque chantilly crème cherries salted caramel cheesecake. Both to die for!!! Our only issue was not being able to order more from the menu. If the dishes we ordered were that good, can only imagine how the rest of the menu would taste. Need to go back to try more!! Shoutout to our server Leah. She made our evening complete. Thank you Lyla for a fabulous evening.

Went to Lyla for lunch yesterday and was extremely disappointed. The space is lovely and so was the service but the food lacked flavour and execution. We got the tuna crisp which smelled and tasted fishy with way too much of the pesto sauce and fried chips that hid the taste of the fish ( had to send this dish back) Ordered the autumn salad which was good but not spectacular. The short ribs were terrible, all I could see and taste was fat which hadn’t been rendered at all so lumps of inedible fat and no meat ( had tos end this dish back too) The squash ravioli was decent but not soft enough or flavourful enough. Broccolini was decent. Overall won’t be coming back, save your money and go elsewhere

so I will start with all the positive sides first. 1. The staff was very helpful, knowledgeable, and walked through the menu, answered all of my questions regarding wine and food. 2. The decor and ambiance was really great. 3. the main highlight of dinner was our desserts which made us really happy. now comes the list which could have been better. 1. I found all the food was lacking or missing flavor. 2. The beef tartare which I had was salty, which I mentioned to our server. I usually eat a little extra salt and the first couple bits were okay but as I ate more it got little to excessive. 3. burrata was charged for 39$ I found that a little too expensive for what garnishes we got with it. 4. the most disappointing thing was the main course. we ordered braised beef short rib. for $49 we got 2 small Chuck's of meat 4 pieces of onion, a spoon full of puree. I was expecting more than this as 50$ mains dish this small which left us disappointed and hungry. also braised short rib didn't really hit target as it was lacking flavours presentation everything. the sauce or braising liquid we got with wasn't reduced enough and was all watery. 5. we also had the carrots and fried cauliflower both were under seasoned. may be it was the B team working on the Sunday night. overall experience was not satisfactory. might not come back as it was lacking flavours, value for money and experience.

Amazing Mediterranean Dining Experience! Lyla Toronto exceeded all our expectations. The food was incredible, and the drinks were just as great. The ambiance is perfect for a date night, making it an ideal spot if you’re looking to make a great impression. We started with the tuna crudo appetizer, which was fresh, light, and full of flavor. For the mains, we tried the squash pasta and branzino, and both dishes were absolutely delicious, with the branzino standing out as incredibly fresh. Service was excellent throughout the evening, attentive and friendly without being overbearing. Definitely recommend Lyla Toronto for anyone looking for a special Mediterranean dining experience in the city!
